Being the Mentor

Mentorship is very helpful, not everyone can have a decent mentor in their way to assist them throughout the journey. Some select a mentor and follow them far from reach, some get direct mentorships, and some just walk on their own. While every one of us mostly prefers a mentor who would guide us on every step has some demerits too, also the absence of a mentor won't make the path impossible for us, we can still make the journey, that too successfully if we just stay determined on our goal.

I searched for mentorship, I do get partial mentoring too whenever I get stuck, have lots of them to help me out, not someone fixed to assist 24/7. Well, the thing is that everyone is open and available for whoever reaches out to them, but they ain't gonna spoon-feed you everything. They are taking those spoon-feeding steps to the public so that everyone can have that guidance at once instead of individual assistance, the rest of the mentoring is mentioned above.

So while many of us are slowing down ourselves with the excuse that we don't have a mentor to assist us step by step. I do have regrets for that too, but that doesn’t slow me down as I feel like I am the mentor of myself. Someone explained this very well and I do remember that quote with all my heart to push me to keep going.

Your mentor knows up to a certain level, he could be the master but he too has limitations, nor can he copy-paste everything exactly he knows to you. So while learning you get limited and always depend on his commands, if he is weak in a certain field you will lack in that part to understand too. But when you are the mentor of yourself, you have no scope to get less as you are not depending on someone in particular, you have the vast world to research and get what you need, and that's how your self-mentorship is going through the self-exploration process. No one's weakness can slow you down as you know how to find another source of information to fill that lacking. That's how the lone wolves make their way.

I have always found myself being the mentor of myself, many came and go, didn’t find anyone who would devote themselves to me from the start of my journey till the end, I know I have a few at my reach, whenever I am stuck badly they might aid me. So I am never fully dependent on someone, I know how to create my way, maybe I make mistakes that bring me down but the same thing makes me even stronger to climb the ladder once again, better than the previous attempt.

So yeah, if you need a mentor then go grab a good one, that's great, even if you don't find one then don't be disheartened as you will be learning the hard way which will last longer and will be more effective. Best of luck.
