Painted A canvas for art exhibition in my university | Creative-Sunday

You know, the only thing an artist wants is appreciation. Every artist is hungry for appreciation. Maybe some of you have read Hunger Artist. That short story by Franz Kafka is a masterpiece that describes the true feelings and emotions of a madly dedicated artist. That short story is dedication to art and artist's struggle to get appreciation.

But.... sometimes people do butter snapping. They praise my efforts to get their work done and i easily rolled myself in their fake praise. I hesitate to say "No" to them.

These are just my initial days in university that's why i am trying to learn the art of living along with art of saying no.

In initial days of my university, I was puzzled and confused by the courses. Moreover, I had so much burden of my decisions. I was unable to decide my desiring field. Everything in my life was looking vague and foggy. The only thing in which i was finding some leisure was art and drawing.

I was a fresher in my university but i was already making my name prominent in my department. Soon after arrival in our department, We all got a chance to take participation in an art contest.

My seniors were quite impressed by my skills in art but i was not aware that they are praising my efforts to get their work done. They gave me a canvas to paint. My task was to make a welcome canvas for all the freshers. I assume, This little hard work should be done by seniors but they gave it to me.

With my acrylic colors, that are my all time friends, i showed my magic of art. I did my home work and canvas has changed it's color. As canvas was previously white and expressionless but with the help of colors it's face is full of expressions. Now, everyone can see magic of colors.

My welcome canvas is ready to be hanged above the gateway to exhibition hall. I didn’t take a picture from the gateway because it was standing in dark and i feel bad when my artpiece is standing in dark. I want appreciation and light to my artwork.
