Must have been quite an interesting and relaxing walk.
the Old Magazine Building which acted at one point as one of the gates to the city.
That's an interesting idea.
Do you know if the location of that building was strategically placed, why it was the "gates of the city?"

It used to look like this 100 years ago, so much of the old town has been destroyed.

one thing that doesn't seem to have changed is the Prison though. It still looks like a castle from the outside:)
