Better than a robe
Have you ever worn a robe tightly secured and knotted around the waist, only to look down and see your boobs hanging out?
Well, well, well! That has happened to me on numerous occasions, so my love for robes died.
My newest sensation is this body glove that I'm wearing. They are designed to be conveniently used for changing in public places especially.
Have you ever been on holiday and had that unexpected flash show by a stranger?
Haha, I think that's okay, as long as I'm not the freak on display.😆
On this occasion, I was heading to the spa at the resort where I'm staying in Egypt. It's advised for women to be modestly dressed, preferably in loose clothing. Although on the resort, it's more relaxed with the freedom to wear whatever you like.
After all, I'm a lover of the Spa. I love to have massages, "chill in a sauna", and occasionally a steam room too. Going for a spa appointment at the resort that you're staying at, is convenient, and there's no need to get dressed.
It gets no better than a body glove.
There's something satisfyingly naughty walking around looking like a red hijabi, wearing nothing but a thong underneath.
Also, this "body glove" (ironic name) comes in handy because it disguises the pounds that I've gained from eating some of the most delicious foods that I've had in a while at this all-inclusive hotel.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was excited about visiting the spa. When I entered, I noticed that their brochure does not have published prices.
I suck at haggling. The price is either right, and I buy, or wrong and I don't buy.
I would prefer to leave bargaining for hubby, but I was alone, as hubby was deep at the bottom of the sea scuba diving.
A charming Egyptian man quoted me several packages and options, with the least appealing to having only one massage.
I know how smooth-talking Egyptians are, so I thought, don't commit to anything just yet.
As a matter of fact, I'm spoiled from having lived in the Philippines for 7 years, where massages are good and reasonable. This lovely chap quoted me UK/ Caribbean prices, which I know are higher than what massages in the African continent might be.
They have a wide array of treatments including body scrubs and body wraps. As tempting as a coffee scrub was, I had something else on my agenda.
Still hesitant, I delayed accepting the price offer. The good thing though, was that the spa manager diligently showed me old receipts with different price packages, to give me an idea.
After a few days of exchanging pleasantries, the spa manager approached me with a special end-of-the-month offer, which sounded great. I still did not accept, and he then told me that he has seen that I'm friendly with all the staff in the resort, so he would offer me a further "friendly discount".
That was a great offer, which I accepted right away, and I immediately booked to have a 3-massage package.
One of the things to consider is:
"What treatment is there available that I cannot do for myself at home?"
Take my word for it, below this red body glove, are pockets of fat that need to be emptied.
So, the first treatment that jumped out at me was the anti-cellulite massage.
Ahem, I know there is no miracle for losing fat apart from liposuction, a good diet, and exercise. However, with an anti-cellulite massage, there is a special cream used, and the procedure of the strokes, kneading, or aggressive pressure on the fat-prone areas, then a cellophane body wrap in the sauna, gives visible results. It's like kick-starting the fat loss process.
It's relaxing and pampering, and you release lots of toxins from the body.
My three choices of massages were: a medical massage which focused on all the stress areas, an anti-cellulite massage, and a sports massage.
... And this red body glove in particular has a front pocket, which is convenient for me to place my wet thong in and walk back to my room. I mean, how good is that, eh?
Of all the massages that I had, I would have to say that my favourite was the anti-cellulite because it works like lymphatic drainage. So, already, I am feeling less bloated, and my legs, butt, and tummy are smoother.
C'mon, tell me ladies, have you ever worn a robe and had your boobs exposed, or have you ever been a lucky fella to just happen to experience such delight? Or, fellas, have you ever worn a robe and accidentally exposed your parts, only to have a female giggling uncontrollably?
These body gloves are unisex. My husband has a grey one.
I would suggest that everyone gets a body glove, just because... 😆

Yes, these are fantastic. No chance of them opening up at the wrong place at the wrong time, and you can bend over freely. The terracotta fabric is ideal, no chance of the wind blowing it up either 😆

I miss the massages more than anything in the Philippines. It's even nicer when you find an excellent person and have them offer you privately at home every week 🙌

I can't say that that has ever happened to me lol 😆 but the body glove seems like a good solution. It's pretty cool looking. Sounds like playing hard to get was a good haggling strategy. I'm with you, in that I hate haggling with people. If I'm at a place where prices aren't listed and I want to buy something I usually ask myself "how much would I pay for this" and if the price is equal or lower I buy and if it's higher I walk away. That's how I bought my wooden owl. I set the price in my head and the sales guy came in way under, like half the price from what I would have paid so I wad like "done." I was happy and he was happy.

Once I was in the Philippines at the end of the huge Sinulog festival and I saw a cotton Bob Marley shirt/blouse. I asked the vendor how much and he told me PHP 250 which is USD 4.50 / GBP 3.70. I bought it right away. When we walked off my husband said, "I can't believe you paid him P250 peso for the blouse." I said but it was a good price and I wanted it. He said I should have told the vendor P180. I laughed and asked him why he didn't butt in because that's not my style. My husband says never to offer what they ask...🤣

Yes, the resort is awesome, and it's the slow season with very few guests. The staff are engaging and super pleasant to deal with:)))

I miss the regular massages that I had in the Philippines, and it's just too expensive to have massages at a reputable spa/parlour in the UK (and Jamaica where I've been for the last few months).
Yes, if you can, definitely have frequent massages, because massages are good for blood circulation, relaxing of muscles, mobility in the joinst, and so much more:)))

Well, I wouldn't really notice or care if my boobs are exposed. Spent half my life in the South of France where I went topless to the beach and city swimming pools. It's normal over there and guys' mouths don't even drop open LOL😝😋🤤

Aha! That's a great question. I arrived with a grey one from the Uk, with bigger sleeves and yes, someone could play peekaboo 🤣... However, this red one that I purchased here in Egypt has wide sleeves, with an extra fabric underneath the arm so you are not exposed. It suited me better than the grey one, so my husband took the grey.

Haha! I can just imagine those stories. They have some colourful ones here at the dive shop. My husband first thought that I would pick a bright orange one, but for some strange reason, this red one suited me better.
I saw lots of pastel colours downtown Dahab last night... Pastels don't suit my personality though. 🤣 Especially not pink. (A man tried to see me a pale baby pale slippers yesterday, and I told him no... that I prefer masculine colours... he laughed and said, "but every woman loves pink." I said NO, not this one 😂

Aah man that place looks so chilled and gorgeous. I love a nice spa... having said that I haven't been in a while... note to self... lose some weight and go!!! The last time I went on my own. I took myself to a country house spa and spent the day there, with my book. Booked a few treatments, sat inside next to the indoor pool, relaxed in the cozy lounge, and had an awesome lunch for one. I love Indian head massage so that is always a definite on my list! Back and shoulder massage and usually a nice facial. I've also switched it up with hot stone massage before and had flotation therapy too. Oh, Milly...what have you done to me??? !LOLZ Looks like you are having a wonderful time there. Hehe! Your spa experience sounds perfect, just the way I wish I could spend all my days. When I was in the sauna, I kept thinking "one day I MUST have my personal sauna and a great masseuse" at my service. I remember many years ago I worked at a luxury resort and my fav place was the "quiet room"... I love the relaxation music and aromas because they trigger happy hormones.
The body glove are big here. I saw many for sale downtown Dahab last night. I will have to ask my husband what they are called here in Egypt. I actually purchased my original one in the UK at a dive supplies shop, and there it's called a body glove. It's way better than a robe 🤣

Yes, the body glove seems to be the biggest thing. My husband bought me a grey one for this trip, but when he got here he realised that he could do with one after his dives, so he got me this red one. This colour suits me better and the cut and size are actually smaller.

Yes you look good in red. Funny my husband got his diving licence in Dahab as well. We visited the coptic church at the foot of Mt. Sinai whilst there. A great place to visit if you have the chance.

Haha! That's funny. Maybe pre-Covid times when many locals owned camels. Sadly, some of them lost their camels due to hard times in Covid... so many of the guides are hired and trained:)

I've had my fair share of exposition throughout my life, and I don't think it' wise to share them here hahaha.
I've also found myself in many situations when a girl was exposed, woops. I don't know if these times were accident, or on purpose.
How was the hubby's scuba diving? How was the message?

Hubby enjoyed the dives immensely. He said he saw fascinating and different stuff each dive. It was nice for him to get back into the water and he felt right in his element immediately.
The massages were wonderful. Both ladies were nice and strong, and they are well trained and understood physiotherapy, so they were able to do some specific work on my frozen shoulder. That part was NO FUN! Once I get back into an exercise routine, I should see improvement, and I will visit my chiropractor when I get back to the UK.
I'm not kidding you, the food was amazing on and off the property, so we all left Dahab many kilos heavier.
Downtown Dahab has a great vibe despite harassing vendors. They are proper pests but have a good sense of humour and cheerful attitude.
We left there and just arrived back in Cairo...I'm looking straight at the 2nd largest pyramid while typing this, and the Light and Sound Show is on, so it's atmospheric 😍
