Saludos amigos de Hive y de esta linda Comunidad (Family & Friends), espero que hayan amanecido muy bien y su día haya iniciado de la mejor manera. Me disculpo por mi ausencia ya que realmente he estado súper súper ocupada en el trabajo, y aunque ya había iniciado a redactar este post desde las plantillas, cada vez que quería continuar para subirlo y compartirlo con todos ustedes nos ocupábamos aún más en mi trabajo, lo cual me impidió hacer este post cuando quería. 😔 Sin más preámbulo, acá les empezaré a contar de qué trata.
Greetings friends of Hive and this beautiful Community (Family & Friends), I hope you have had a great morning and that your day has started in the best way. I apologize for my absence as I really have been super super super busy at work, and although I had already started drafting this post from the templates, every time I wanted to continue to upload it and share it with all of you we got even busier in my work, which prevented me from doing this post when I wanted to. 😔 Without further ado, here I'll start telling you what it's about.
Como mi mamá está por irse del país, quise planear junto con mi suegra un viaje para Choroní. Mi plan era irnos ida y vuelta en bus, pero mi suegra se puso de acuerdo con uno de nuestros compañeros de trabajo para que nos llevara en su carro. Me pareció mucho mejor ya que iríamos más cómodos en carro y nos serviría para sacar mejores fotos. Este viaje fue el pasado Sábado 09 de Marzo, mi mamá y yo estuvimos despiertas desde temprano, esperando que Theo (compañero de trabajo de mi suegra y mío) nos pasara buscando luego de buscar a mi suegra y a mi novio a su casa. Me saqué unas selfies sola cuando ya me había terminado de arreglar y otras con mi mamá antes de salir. 😊
Since my mother is about to leave the country, I wanted to plan a trip to Choroní with my mother-in-law. My plan was to go there and back by bus, but my mother-in-law agreed with one of our co-workers to take us in his car. I thought it was much better since we would be more comfortable in the car and we would be able to take better pictures. This trip was last Saturday March 9th, my mom and I were up early, waiting for Theo (my mother-in-law's and my co-worker) to pick us up after picking up my mother-in-law and my boyfriend at his house. I took a few selfies by myself when I was done getting ready and a few with my mom before heading out. 😊

Fui tomando fotos mientras íbamos por la carretera ya que era mi primera vez yendo a esa playa y como Theo estaba yendo a una velocidad que consideré tranquila, me dió chance de tomarme unas selfies junto a mi mamá y Gabo, ya que sabía que no iban a salir movidas.
I was taking pictures as we drove along the road since it was my first time going to that beach and since Theo was going at a speed that I considered calm, it gave me a chance to take some selfies with my mom and Gabo, since I knew they were not going to come out shaken.

A petición de Theo, nos detuvimos un ratico en lo que parecía un mirador, pero había tanto monte que no se lograba ver mucho hacia "el más allá" jajaja. Aprovechamos de tomarnos unas selfies grupales y también le tomé una a mi mamá junto a mi suegra. 😍
At Theo's request, we stopped for a while at what looked like a lookout point, but there was so much mountain that you couldn't see much "beyond" hahaha. We took the opportunity to take some group selfies and I also took one of my mom with my mother-in-law. 😍

Cuando llegamos al pueblo lo primero que noté es que teníamos que atravesar un río para poder llegar al otro extremo, eso me sorprendió porque eso quería decir que toda persona que fuera en carro o estuviera caminando, tenía que atravesar el río, metiéndose. (Desconozco si hay algún atajo para no tener que atravesar el río). Le tomé una fotografía y también le tomé al primer kiosko que vi, era una Galería de Arte que llamó muchísimo mi atención por los colores y adornos que tenía en su exterior. Me hubiera encantado poder entrar, amo el arte. También vimos un medio de transporte que llamó mi atención y Theo nos dijo que le llaman "Guagua", es el medio de transporte que habitualmente usan los que viven allá para moverse o dirigirse a donde necesiten.
When we arrived at the town the first thing I noticed is that we had to cross a river to get to the other end, that surprised me because that meant that anyone who was in a car or walking, had to cross the river, getting in (I do not know if there is a shortcut to avoid having to cross the river). I took a picture and I also took a picture of the first kiosk I saw, it was an Art Gallery that caught my attention because of the colors and decorations it had on the outside. I would have loved to go inside, I love art. We also saw a means of transportation that caught my attention and Theo told us that they call it "Guagua", it is the means of transportation usually used by those who live there to move around or go wherever they need to go.

Finalmente llegamos a la playa. "Playa Grande", empecé a mirar por todo mi al rededor y sinceramente me esperaba más. Desde hace meses he estado viendo fotos a través de algunas cuentas en Instagram en donde muestran "Playa Grande" muy pero muy hermosa, pero al llegar no me pareció tan impresionante. Le pedí a Gabo que me tomara unas fotos cuerpo completo con ambas vallas de bienvenida. Luego caminamos un poco y me tomé un par de selfies sola y quise tomar también de las palmeras que se logran ver en el lugar. Eso me gustó mucho de Choroní, la cantidad de palmeras que hay, se pueden sacar fotos muy hermosas en esa zona, y aunque las que yo tomé fueron sencillas y sin retoques, he visto algunas que han subido otras personas y son estupendas.
Finally we arrived at the beach. "Playa Grande", I started to look around and honestly I was expecting more. For months I have been seeing pictures through some Instagram accounts where they show "Playa Grande" very, very beautiful, but when I arrived I didn't find it so impressive. I asked Gabo to take some full body shots of me with both welcome fences. Then we walked a bit and I took a couple of selfies alone and I wanted to take some pictures of the palm trees that can be seen in the place. That's what I really liked about Choroní, the amount of palm trees, you can take very beautiful pictures in that area, and although the ones I took were simple and without retouching, I have seen some that other people have uploaded and they are great.

Como es de costumbre, amo tomar fotos a donde sea que vaya colocando en mi mano mi pulsera de Hive. Me di cuenta que se está poniendo algo dura debido a los rayos de sol que le ha pegado porque no hay día que no me la coloque, lo cual me causa algo de miedo porque es la única que tengo y a Gabo se le rompió a causa de lo mismo, así que trato de cuidarla lo más que puedo. 😣🙏
As usual, I love to take pictures wherever I go by placing my Hive bracelet on my hand. I noticed that it's getting a little hard due to the sun rays that has hit it because there's not a day that goes by that I don't put it on, which causes me some fear because it's the only one I have and Gabo broke it because of the same thing, so I try to take care of it as much as I can. 😣🙏

Luego de terminar con las fotos en esa zona, Gabo y yo nos dirigimos a una mesa con sillas y paraguas que había alquilado Theo para instalarnos de una manera más cómoda. Gabo y yo nos quitamos nuestra ropa y nos metimos a bañar. El agua estaba sabrosísima, pero no creí (Y tampoco me dijeron 🙈) que las olas en Choroní eran TAN grandes y fuertes. Pude llegar hasta la parte honda con Gabo pero mientras más nos alejábamos, yo sentía que venían olas muchísimo más grandes que las que ya habíamos pasado, eso me causó bastante pánico porque yo sé nadar muy poco, y ya tenía miedo de ahogarme jajajaja. Pude controlarme por un momento hasta que vi una ola que medía como 10 metros para mi y empecé a nasar súper rápido para huir de ella, pero me alcanzó jajajaja, me revolcó y hasta me bajó la parte de abajo de mi traje de baño. Para mi suerte, me di cuenta estando aún dentro del mar, así que me lo pude subir sin que nadie se diera cuenta JAJAJA, luego salí y me senté un rato en la arena mientras veía a Gabo bañarse como si nada... 🙃🤣 En ese momento que me quedé esperando a Gabo mientras pasaba el susto, estuve pensando "Yo mejor me quedo con Cata/Ocumare" 🤣🤣🤣
After finishing with the photos in that area, Gabo and I headed to a table with chairs and umbrellas that Theo had rented to settle in more comfortably. Gabo and I took off our clothes and went for a swim. The water was very tasty, but I didn't believe (and they didn't tell me either 🙈) that the waves in Choroní were THAT big and strong. I was able to get to the deep part with Gabo but the farther we went, I felt that waves were coming much bigger than the ones we had already passed, that caused me a lot of panic because I know how to swim very little, and I was already afraid of drowning hahahaha. I was able to control myself for a moment until I saw a wave that was about 10 meters long for me and I started to swim super fast to run away from it, but it reached me hahahaha, it rolled me over and even pulled down the bottom of my swimsuit. To my luck, I realized it while still inside the sea, so I was able to pull it up without anyone noticing HAHAHAHAHA, then I went out and sat on the sand for a while while watching Gabo swim like nothing.... 🙃🤣 At that moment when I was waiting for Gabo while the scare passed, I was thinking "I'd better stay with Cata/Ocumare" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cuando Gabo salió del agua, nos dirigimos a la otra punta de la playa, ya que le mencioné que noté que para ese lado no había casi nadie y sería perfecto para empezar a sacarnos fotos haciendo lo que amamos. A Gabo le pareció súper la idea así que nos fuimos. Como esos detalles se los quiero contar ya cuando vaya a compartirles las fotos de ese momento, les comparto estas últimas fotos que tomé cuando mi mamá, mi suegra y Gabo estaban platicando y riendo por diferentes temas de conversación que se tocaron. Faltó Theo en las fotos pero el estaba en ese momento dándose un chapuzón jajaja.
When Gabo came out of the water, we headed to the other end of the beach, as I mentioned to him that I noticed there was almost no one on that side and it would be perfect to start taking pictures of us doing what we love. Gabo thought it was a great idea so we left. Since I want to tell you about those details when I go to share with you the pictures of that moment, I will share with you these last pictures I took when my mom, my mother-in-law and Gabo were talking and laughing about different topics of conversation. Theo was missing in the pictures but he was at that moment taking a dip hahaha.

En general, la pasamos muy muy bien, el viaje en sí fue agradable y haber podido llevar a mi mamá sabiendo que falta cada vez más poco para irse, me hace sentir feliz verla a ella contenta con este lindo viaje que le planeamos. Mi mamá si conoce Choroní debido a que vivió un tiempo allá y luego de mudarse, visitaba a menudo porque tiene familia por parte de mis abuelos allá. Por otro lado, Choroní no me pareció malo o feo del todo, sólo que he estado en playas mucho más bonitas y por eso dije que no me pareció la gran cosa. Lo que más me gustó de este viaje fueron la gran cantidad de mitos y leyendas que pude escuchar en tooodo el viaje, tanto de ida como de regreso, y aunque iba muy asustada, me mantuve atenta escuchando y prestando atención a todo lo que contaban Theo, mi mamá y mi suegra sobre cosas que han pasado y siguen pasando en el pueblo de Choroní. Me gustaría volver en algún momento y quedarme en alguna posada, tanto para conocer un poco más, como para seguir escuchando más cuentos jajajaja.
Overall, we had a great time, the trip itself was nice and being able to take my mom knowing that it is getting closer and closer to leave, makes me feel happy to see her happy with this nice trip we planned for her. My mom knows Choroní because she lived there for a while and after she moved, she visited often because she has family on my grandparents' side there. On the other hand, I didn't find Choroní bad or ugly at all, I've just been to much nicer beaches and that's why I said that I didn't think it was a big deal. What I liked the most about this trip were the many myths and legends that I could hear throughout the trip, both on the way there and back, and although I was very scared, I kept listening and paying attention to everything that Theo, my mom and my mother-in-law told me about things that have happened and are still happening in the town of Choroní. I would like to go back sometime and stay at an inn, both to learn a little more and to continue listening to more stories hahahaha.

Ese día la pasamos genial, desde que estábamos en vía en el carro de Theo hasta de regreso era pura risa y risa, con los cuentos que te daban miedito y las ocurrencias de nuestras madres jejeje 🤭
A diferencia de tí ya había ido a Choroní mi Mila, pero no recuerdo que las olas fueran así, la verdad me divertí mucho con esas olas y lo disfruté bastante 🤭
Me pongo a recordar y me río del momento cuando nos estabamos burlando de Theo que las olas lo empujaban fuerte jajaja y cuando venian esas olas grandes a lo lejos solo se le veía la calva jajajajaja 🤣🤣🤣
Y bueno mi Mila como siempre tomándonos nuestras fotos de lo que más nos gusta, aunque ambos pasamos bastante sol y estrés porque mis tomas no salían a la primera, tambien pude disfrutar ese momento, hecho el loco entrené hombros allí jajaja los días siguientes me dolía bastante el hombro derecho sobre todo, porque era en el que más me recargaba. 😅
Me gustó haber ido y haber compartido una experiencia diferente sobre todo con tu mami y mi madre en el mismo lugar con nosotros. 🙏🏻❤
