Yet another week of Shadow Hunting!

We are still waiting for a complete Sunny day. This season's rainfall has been phenomenal so much so that we have not seen a bright sunny day for the last 30 days or perhaps more.

So I have to continue with shadow hunting at night.

Today I kept on exploring and searching new objects for shadow photos. I opened my old store today and found a few components of an old Petromax Lamp. You can find the real image of the actual object at the end of the post under the "Behind the Scene" tab.

So I experimented shadow photos with this and as you can see the shadow photos have been nicely cast upon the wall.

Hunting shadows is my new passion, thanks to this perennial contest. It lowers the barrier to entry and is full of fun.

I want my audience to take this blog post primarily as a Shadow-photos post, so I am not adding much text to elaborate on. I think it's self-explanatory.

The blue color hue is because of the color of the source light that I use to capture shadows of the chosen object.

I changed the angle of this object and its orientation a few times to capture the shadows from various postures.

I hung this object from the ceiling of the lean roof. The projection of light is horizontal and almost in alignment with the object's axis.

I used a thin hook to hang it from the ceiling. This object is coiled in a cylindrical form as you can verify it from the "Behind the Scene" section.

It's not less than an art from of photography.

So you can see here, it's an old item, fully rusted, scrap item. But as you know these things can be more handy for shadow hunting. And this post and today's experimentation is a testament to this claim.
