Shadow Hunter/ SMASh Contest Round #326 - Grasping Shadow at Night!

I have always considered shadow hunting an art and improvisation is always implicit in creative art.

Once again hunting Shadow at night continues.....and this time I got it correct, much better than the previous edition. I got the light, angle, positions correct this time to make it more appealing than ever. Yes, I am loving it.

Extrinsic motivation should not be discounted, it can make the creative mind and innovation roll from a layman to an amateur.

How did I get this shadow?

It is the rooftop with a long verandah type space with a wide opening.

Today at night I noticed that the street light was entering into this space through that opening. And I just stood in front of that street light, voila.....I got the shadow I wanted.

The wall is painted light yellow, not very well maintained though but for shadow hunting, this could be the perfect background. Because the foreground(i.e. shadow) is black, so a light/yellow background makes it prominent.

You can notice the cooler, and the shade of corrugated sheets on the top margin and my shadow. Everything is perfect and precise this time.

I will keep on exploring more tricks and techniques to capture perfect and prominent shadows in the coming days.

That's all. See you next week with a fresh set of shadows.

Thank you.
🙏🙏🙏
