Mood is engulfed by Winter and the flowering season | Phone Photography-36

Gardening is something that interests me a lot. With the onset of winter, we have already cleaned and organized the garden and removed all the unwanted plants and weeds.

A few plants have already started blooming, although it's not in full swing. But definitely, it's poised for a flower season in December.

This is a cotton flower. We have not grown this for commercial purposes, rather it has been grown as a remedy or you can say for spiritual reasons. Because a plethora of plants are worshipped daily in our garden. This is one of them.

I do not know the name of this plant or flower. But it looked beautiful when I went out to the garden to capture a few clicks. So I included it in this blog.

If you know the name of this flower, do comment, it would be an informative engagement for me.

Then comes the Marigold flower, which is typically grown in winter. We planted it late, but it has started blooming. We did not include a wide variety this year, but as usual, you can always find a dedicated lot of marigold flowers in our garden.

Marigold flowers are making the garden merrier for sure. That aroma is always awesome when you roam around a garden blooming with flowers. I missed Zinnia this year. We did not plant it owing to our busy schedule in other real-life events.

Hibiscus is our regular flower in our Puja House and this Garden has complemented that requirement all throughout the year. We have at least three different varieties of Hibiscus in our Garden.

Next comes ଦୟଣା ତୁଳସୀ (Black Basil), which is very very popular in Odisha. We have this ଦୟଣା ତୁଳସୀ in our garden. This is offered to Lord Jagannath. I love the aroma of this Black Basil. And its leaves has medicinal benefits too.

Bananas are very common in Odia households. It has been culturally integrated into our lives. It is also worshipped. And there is a cultural belief of prosperity rooted in the presence of a Banana plant on your premises. That is why you will notice Banana plants in all Odia households.

Living close to Nature, nurturing, and organizing the Garden is always a source of happiness. That makes me feel good. I have limited and reasonable wants, being fulfilled by Nature.
