The unstable stability: when experience and knowledge are keys

During a crisis there will be people crying and other producing tissues.

Job and fixed/stable income are things that from the very junior school children are taught to pursue in order to get a “stable life”.

What they are not taught is managing their incomes according to the economic-financial situation.

Think of a small family, where both parents work on an average income and they have at least a child, they are buying the house (because buying a house means stability), they are buying a car, because having an own car feels better and so on.

Anyway, @Galenkp here did not ask for a finance lesson BUT instead what IF this family is left with no income?

They would feel lost, becoming susceptible to depression and other bad stuffs.

And WHY? Because they were taught to live in stability and avoid adventure/instability/creativity.

They are NOT used or prepared to an unforeseen situation.

But guess what?

This precise scenario may happen anyway, even if they are not going to lose their incomes and simply living without noticing all the inflation and the totalitarism rising into monetary policies.

Eventually they are gojng to believe that BRICS will improve the situation but it will just be a matter of changing the Master. From the cat hunting the mouse to the dog hunting the cat.

I think that losing jobs and income can be a real pain in the a BUT

When there is a strong wind blowing some people build walls, others build wind-mills or wind-turbines.

Every hard situation hides an equal opportunity behind since getting out with a Win means having learnt a lot during the path.

So what if I would lose all my income and job?

Losing job and income does not mean losing all that I have learnt and all the experience gathered so far.

Souce: me in London in 2018, when I accepted my first CEO role

I am sure I would feel quite bad for some days, asking myself why that bad happened to me. Anyway, like I have already done, I would fight these bad feelings with the attitude of thinking that every opportunity closing allows me to aim for a potentially bigger opportunity.

I would start branding my skills, asking to previous employer if they have some opportunity for me to support while I understand what to do of my working-life.

In the meanwhile, I would also evaluate if my job and incomes were lost because the area in which I was working were obsolete or if I was obsolete. In the first case I would look for another field where to get expertise into and in the second case I would evaluate if I really want to keep working in this area or instead I would prefer getting skilled in other areas.

There is a third scenario where external causes happened making that working place to cease and in that case, assumed I am still eager to work in that field, I would look for another company.

In my specific and personal case, I have already worked as a chemical engineer, salesman, CEO and company manager, Business Strategist and Tokenomics designer.
But since years I am mainly on a freelance basis. It’s like losing job and income everyday and I simply try to build a large network where someone can reach me out or I can reach out to someone constantly.

We are not our job.

We simply use the job to get enough money to live the life we want and we think is suitable for us.

Having the belief that from every bad/negative situation or event can come a positive is a powerful belief, even if it just keeps one's morale up at a time when it could easily dip.

I've always held to the belief that when a door closes one finds themselves on the outside in a hallway full of other doors...open some of them (using the positive energy I mentioned earlier) and one will find a new opportunity and a way forward. It's all about attitude I guess, although it's definitely easy to allow that attitude to slip; none of us are above that.

It Italian we have a "motto" saying that (in italian): "chiusa una porta, si apre un portone", meaning "when a door shuts a bigger door opens".

That attitude is very tough to keep BUT I noticed that when keeping it there will still be some dark and foggy days BUT they will usually tend to end earlier, I get out stronger (and I can touch it) and usually I get other opportunities.

It's something I am trying to live on a daily base life and I know that the farther I go, the harder will be the tests BUT still, they will be an opportunity to grow.

Thanks you very much for your comment!

There's always going to be dark days in a human beings life, the smart ones work towards learning how to deal with them rather than applying denial. The only way to get to the otter side of difficult times, is going through them.

It is true that money gives incredible mental stability, nor do I imagine that you will feel losing everything you have achieved from one moment to the next. That's why it's good to be versatile and generate several skills: finally, one can save us 😅

You got the point. Diversification is important in every field of our life. Except eventually for marriage/engagements :D one at a time is enough 🤣
