MONOMAD | | My first entry in the contest!
I feel that you are all well: take pictures and posting them on Hive, sharing feelings and living great moments again!
Today I decided to participate in this contest because I have a real passion for black and white photographs.
This type of shooting, gives soul to photographs, makes them "come alive."
Regarding the photos, I remember what the daughter of a friend of mine, who is a graduate of DAMS in Bologna, says: The photographer, after all, is a "voyeur"
How can I blame her?
We are there, with camera (or smartphone, sometimes more convenient) spying on our subject in order to catch the pose we want.
We keep watching even many minutes for a simple shot that, almost always is 1/125 of a second!
But let's get to the contest, my first #monomad contest, here on the #blackandwhite community; special thanks @monochromes, who curates the contest!
Well, let's start with my shots, there is no clear line in the images I will show you.
I choose black and white, at the time of shooting, it's an instinctive thing; nothing studied.
Sometimes it's landscapes, sometimes it's trees, I've even photographed a brazier in black and white!
Let's start with the brazier: the photo is from a few winters ago in a hilly setting, in an old rural house... what better setting for a black-and-white shot?
In these 2 shots we have different glimpses of the same medieval village: it almost looks like the kitty posed to be immortalized!
This photo comments for itself, I'm sure you think so too!
As you know I have a weakness for backlit photographs, and even with black and white, I get not bad results. The room for improvement is there, in fact the one of the sea is slightly overexposed, but if I had closed the aperture too much, the light strength of the Sun would not have been appreciated!
All the photos I posted were taken by me, with my inseparable smartphone!
Reviewed and Approved for an Ecency boost. Keep up the good work.
Nince b&W shots!
