Words of Affirmation Matters in Relationships

After a long day at work, I sat down on my long chair thinking or what next to do since today was Friday and there was no work tomorrow, then I picked up my phone and started playing my Music with my earbuds on, after listening to a lot of vibes and Inspirational songs, then my music app played Kendrick Lamar song “love”, one of my favorite. Then my thoughts were reflecting on so many things.

After a long time reflecting on my thoughts, I concluded that words of affirmation matter in relationships. I remember when we kind of argued about why I didn't use sweet words on her, to me I felt it was less important since we already agreed to be with each other, I did not know a serious relationship requires follow-up in words and in giving also.

This song Opened my thoughts to something inspiring, going the extra mile to get what you truly want, in the lyrics, he said “No assumptions”. Love without words of affirmation might not last long except if there is a deep affection.

The major message the song passed was that if he doesn’t have money again would she stay with him? it is true nobody knows how tomorrow will be, but being in a relationship people tend to ask questions like this, some even ask that if they later have money will she still be with them or if he later has money will he still want her, some people in relationships fail to understand the importance of words of Affirmation. I understand nobody is perfect but words of affirmation can go a long way in building up a healthy relationship. Most people think these questions are trust issues but they are not, they are our thoughts and reasonings, it is time people start seeing the importance of words of affirmation to a healthy relationship.

I see words of affirmation as not just words but a truth of the heart. I believe words of affirmation are a way for an individual to express his heartfelt emotions and feelings in sincere and serious words.

Am a smooth talker, and I see how my girlfriend enjoys the way I give her assurance of who she is true to me, and what she means to me, I know am not a perfect man but this words alone are strong enough to bring to her understanding that I am true to her. Although it is her decision to make that doesn’t stop me from telling her my assurance of who I am truly. She also gives me her assurance of how much she is willing to stay with me. I feel this is one of the most healthy keys to a relationship.

Kendrick's song inspired this thought and reflection in me, I had never thought of it before, but listening to this song I played it 13 times without even knowing I was repeating the song for that amount of time. I will recommend you give this song a try and get your inspirational doze from it.

Stay Positive and True, always give the right words affirmation in your relationship and also to your loved one’s.
