  • "What is your dream?" Hello everyone, the first sentence is a question that doesn't seem to be related to food. But no matter what the answer is, it will definitely be related to food this time. And this is the slogan of this ramen restaurant that I've been to and just wrote a post about this Japanese restaurant that has a unique identity, different from other ramen restaurants. And this ramen restaurant is called "Yume Ramen".

  • Yume Ramen is located in Verona, Italy. It is a ramen restaurant in a tourist area that is a popular tourist center. And that evening, the weather was quite cold. There was a light rain, making me want to eat any hot soup. And I like Asian food anyway. So I tried searching for a ramen restaurant. And I found this one. When I found a parking spot, I walked along the GPS. We went a little before dinner, so there weren't many people at that time.

  • When we got to the restaurant, We walked in. While waiting for the staff to come, my eyes looked around and saw the uniqueness. I saw a rectangular piece of cardboard hung on the dining table, but I still didn't understand what it was. After a while, the receptionist took us to sit at the table. The waiter came to introduce us to the chair where we could open it and put our bags. Hey, look at how cool this restaurant is. I think it's getting more interesting.

  • The waiter handed us the menu and suggested that while waiting for the food, we should write down our dreams on these pieces of paper and then hang them up. I looked at the paper and read other people's dreams that were interesting when they came here. This is what makes this restaurant more interesting because while waiting for the food might seem boring, these activities can make it more interesting.

  • And of course, it's not just that. This restaurant also has stories about the origins of each dish, the steps in making it, the attention to detail, even the way of eating it, from the start of serving the ramen, the movement of the chopsticks from the soup to the ramen noodles, the story of the shells used in the ramen, making every dish seem valuable because it shows that they pay attention to every detail. It makes us feel that the price of the food is worth it.

  • And the question that is the restaurant's slogan is related to the restaurant's signature ramen. They conveyed the story of ramen through writing. They gave each customer a book. In that book, it was a story of food dreams. While waiting for the food, I wrote my introduction Lol and wrote my dream at that time on that piece of paper. I also drew pictures. We took turns writing. It made us feel that the food we ordered didn't take long because we enjoyed writing on that piece of paper.

Before the ramen was served, we ordered KOMBUCH tea, which was served in a bottle, and hot tea that was waiting. When drinking hot tea, you shouldn't drink it right away. Wait about 3-5 minutes for the tea leaves and hot water to work first.

  • The taste of the tea will be fragrant. Because if you don't wait, you'll only drink hot water. Drink hot tea with cold air. After writing, hang it up like everyone else. After a while, the food we ordered was served. We ordered the restaurant's recommended menu.

  • We don't followed all the recommended steps lol, but overall, it was very good. The taste of the soup was well-rounded. The noodles were chewy and soft. Sipping the hot soup felt good. Another menu is dry ramen. Both were good.

We ate it deliciously and finished it before ordering dessert. I'm not sure what their names are, but they both look so yummy. They look cute with dried orange on top, making them look yummy. Another thing is chocolate sprinkled with small pieces of almonds, so yummy.

  • We ordered one each and shared it. We ate until we were full and it was a meal that we thought was right. It's good that we decided to come here. After a while, we went to pay.

  • The owner asked us if this was our first time. We said yes and were very impressed. We returned the notebook to him and said that you can keep it. It's great because there is a place to write down. We paid and walked out happily. Looking at the shop, there were a lot of people now. Luckily, we came early.

  • And this is the food and the story of the impression that is not just hungry, ordering, and eating. This ramen restaurant made us happy, even though it was a small happiness, but it was a story and a good memory of the dinner that day. Hope everyone likes it. Thank you for following. Have a nice day.

I agree with how little things like the way the food is served or the stories behind the dishes make it even more special.

The idea of using ikigai and the environment give this place such cool vibes, if I travel to Verona I would love to try their ramen 🍜🍛
