Wat Luang Pho To, Wat Soraphong | The b;eautiful temple in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand
Wat Luang Pho To or Wat Non Kum is in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand, the gateway to Isaan. Located on Mittraphap Road, Sikhio District, it is another beautiful temple. The person who built this temple is Sorapong Chatri, a famous star of Thailand. Duan Chi Hai Song Under the operation of the Somdet Phra Buddhacarn To Promrangsi Foundation, the villagers popularly call this temple the name "Wat Sorapong".
- The outstanding thing about this temple is that aside from the beautiful temple, inside the temple there is also a statue of Luang Por To, which is the largest in Thailand. It has a lap width of 8 meters 1 inch, a height of 13 meters and a weight of 61 tons. This is the largest statue of Luang Pho To in Thailand. It is the center of the Buddhist mind. and is a place of worship for locals and tourists In addition, there are also monks of Luang Phor Phra Buddha Chinnarat who pay homage.
- At that time we traveled in large groups to work. There were many of us going. When we got there we found a parking space. This is my first time coming to this temple. I've heard the name but never been here. When we arrived, the first atmosphere that we saw was a wide courtyard with gardens and various trees arranged beautifully. As you walk in, you will see various flowers being planted continuously.
- And when you walk in, you will see various Buddha statues to pay respect to, organized into zones with statues of Mr. Sorapong. Chatri, the founder of the temple, has now passed away. Leaving only the good deeds and reputation that have been built. Keep walking. You will see the most beautiful temple of this temple and it is a very prominent feature, similar to heaven. That's what I imagined lol, in front is a wide pond with a bridge to walk across to this rock. Inside, there is a lot of space to see. Buddha statue of Luang Pho To
- There are tourists continuously coming to make merit and pay homage. My friends and I also made merit that time. Because at that time my father had died not long before. I would like to make merit for my father, mother and brother and family who have died. According to Buddhist beliefs After that, he went to paste a gold plate on the statue of Luang Pho To. According to the belief that you ask for blessings from sacred things to help protect you, bring luck and safety, make merit and feel at ease.
- In addition, this temple also has an almshouse that distributes free food. for people who come to visit to eat Therefore, the money that we donate can also be used to make merit this time. After finishing paying respects,
we walked around the temple. Because the atmosphere here is very good. The shade of the trees beauty of flowers There are fish in the pond. There are many places to take photos. It is considered another tourist attraction that if anyone has the opportunity to travel to Nakhon Ratchasima, try to visit this place. We guarantee that you will definitely like it.
