Krathong Thong is an ancient Thai appetizer served in small pieces. It is crunchy, sweet and salty with a filling inside the Krathong. And this was the first time I tried it with friends. Because I myself am not very good at cooking. But I like to watch and I will be the one to help with the cooking and of course I will be the one to take the pictures. Lol., so let's get started.

Krathong ingredients

  • All-purpose wheat flour
  • Rice flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Granulated sugar
  • Yolk
  • Clear lime water
  • Water

  • Onion
  • Coriander root
  • Garlic
  • Vegetable oil
  • Minced pork
  • Boiled corn
  • Sugar
  • Yam
  • Carrot
  • Coriander

How to make a krathong

  • Make clear lime water by adding water to the red lime and letting it settle. Then take a spoon and scoop it from the top and strain it again to prepare.
  • Add wheat flour and rice flour. a pinch of salt Mix in sugar and eggs.
  • Mix water and lime together. Then slowly pour it into the flour mixture. Mix well until the dough is smooth and sticky, then set aside (not too liquidy).
  • Then stir fry the Krathong filling. By putting vegetable oil in it. Then take the chopped onions and stir fry. Put in the minced pork. Season with sugar. a little pepper Soy sauce, add carrots and corn to stir fry.

  • When the filling is finished frying, then go make the krathong. Take coriander roots, garlic, and pepper and pound them thoroughly before frying them in oil. Put the oil in a pot or pan for frying. Then put the dessert mold into vegetable oil for a while. When the oil is hot, take out the pan and wipe it on paper to dry.
  • Dip the bottom of the mold into the starch part almost completely, then immediately dunk it in the hot oil. If it's slow, the powder will fall off. Fry until beautifully golden. lift from oil The krathong will come out of the mold and be lifted out.
  • Put the stir-fried filling into the fried rice bowl. Decorate it beautifully Just this is finished. Ready to serve
