5 Minute Freewrite: Drummer

This face looks familiar, he is the man who appears in my dreams, he is handsome as he is tall. Is this reality or just another dream? I touched his chest, he had a heartbeat, "this must be real", I said to myself.

"Miranda" he called my name. Oh! My beautiful nightmares have come to past, "I'm happy to see you Miranda" he said his beautiful eyes gleaming to the illumination of the moonlight. If this is a dream, I never want to wake up. He held my hand and dragged me into the village, the moon was full, they were people dancing, children listening to moonlight tales. A kiss, my heart skipped several beats, did he really kiss me?

We danced into the night, I found delight in the cheerful clap and stomping feet of the villagers but suddenly the claps and stomping of feet went quiet, I heard the harmony of drums that sounded planets away, the gleaming moon declined speedily. I awoke, he was no longer here, the man from my dreams was no longer here but the sound of the drums was still clear. I opened my window and looked outside, I saw his face, it was the face of the drummer.
