Pchum Ben Ceremony in Cambodia!
Greetings everyone, how are you doing today? A few day ago, you know in Cambodia we celebrated the traditional ceremony, it calls Pchum Ben. Many workers especially fro those who work in the factories as a labor mostly went to hometown for they want to visit their parents, typically we have 3 day off, well it wasn’t that long, but it was so enjoyable as they can meet up with their family at province. So today I am excited to share a day with you as I also went to one pagoda in my town, the name of this pagoda calls “Wat Prek Somrong”. Sure, many people in my village must have visited here at least once because of its popularity.
The chefs village started the ceremony, it was an exciting event that we are honorable for being here. Mostly we see elder, because it was Thursday at that time and the school is still opening as usual.
What I really love the most about the ceremony is the decoration which is so classic and traditional, Khmer tradition basically involves with golden costumes such as pillow, cup, fruit and more. They even offer us a several types of beverages which is so much pleasure.
Here when it comes to the Buddha place, everyone has to show respect, I was just talking of my shoes, the elders tell me to bring the food for the monks as a tradition and now I was looking for a place to sit and listen to the monks. Finally I would love to say good luck to everyone!
