Greetings everyone of Foodies Bee Hive, this is a healthy and delicious breakfast recipe I want to share it with you. Stir-fried tofu with bean sprouts and beef liver - a Chinese stir-fry recipe that’s savory and very simple to make. If you are an Asian food lover and looking for great ways to experience healthy dish then this is good recipe for you.
INGREDIENTS ✍️
- Bean sprouts
- Tofu
- Beef liver
- Chinese chives
- Green onion
- Krill
- Garlic and garlic powder
- Chicken blood tofu
- Seasoning 🧂 (soy sauce, salt, and soup powder)
Cooking Method 👩🍳
STEP 1
Mix soy sauce and garlic powder with tofu
- Crispy tofu is easy to fry on a skillet, I will show you a few tricks that I always do. First to ensure every bite of tofu is loaded with flavor and plenty of crunch, the tofu cubes are seasoned with a little soy sauce and garlic powder. I mix about 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder.
Cut tofu
- I usually cut the tofu into 1 or 2 inch cubes. After that place them in a large bowl and sprinkle the soy sauce on top and gently stir. Next, add the cornstarch and garlic powder. Mix it together.
To pan fry the tofu
- We pour about 4 tablespoon of the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Then, I like to add the tofu in a single layer, make sure to put it carefully and let it brown on all sides. You’ll know it’s ready when each cube is nice and golden brown.
STEP 2
Prepare garlic chives
- We just need to trim off about 1-inch of the bottom part and cut the chives into about 3-inch sections. I get this garlic chives from local market, so I cover it with water to remove all the dirt.
STEP 3
Cook garlic with beef liver
- Add oil and garlic to a deep skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Then, cook garlic until lightly browned, and add beef liver. We stir and cook beef liver with garlic until half cooked.
Add in garlic powder and soy sauce
- Stir to evenly coat beef liver in sauce. Cook until beef is fully cooked. You should taste and adjust sauce as needed.
STEP 4
Cook tofu
- This time I would like to add the tofu that we have already prepared. Cook it another for 1 to 2 minutes, make sure to stir it with beef liver occasionally until it goes well together.
STEP 5
Adding chicken blood tofu and stir- fry
- We cut the chicken blood tofu into pieces like this, whenever I cook chicken blood I always make sure that I clean it well, then I pour all of it into the hot skillet.
STEP 6
Cook the krill
For this recipe, I decided to add frozen krill. We place the krill in a large mixing bowl. Add 1/2 tsp of salt. Pour in cold water, just enough to cover, and leave it about 15 minutes we can get it to cook. We we about to cook just clean it again and cut the head off.
Place the krill in a hot skillet and stir fry until they started to turn pink, about 30 seconds.
STEP 7
Stirring the meat well
- Our meat should cook fast, but to ensure that everything is cooked evenly, stir constantly. It’s important to move the food in and out of the centre of the skillet quickly.
STEP 8
Pouring bean spouts and stir fry for another minutes
- As I made this recipe, I usually pour ingredients which I want to keep crunchy added at the end. Even sauces shall be added to the dish before you add the crunchy ingredients. Like this bean sprouts stir fry recipe, I have added bean sprouts after the sauce. This helps in keeping them crunchy.
STEP 9
Add Chinese chives
- I would like to pour all the garlic chives into the skillet also increase the heat and stir fry Chinese chives briefly for 1 or 2 minute make sure that it mix well with bean spouts and we can decrease the heat after it goes well together.
Breakfast Recipe
For breakfast, I tend to do a lot of quick and easy stir fry dishes and this veggie fry with beef liver is one of my go-to dishes. The beef liver is tender and flavored with garlic and soy sauce. It’s such a simple dish, yet super flavorful and versatile. You can serve the beef by itself, toss in some vegetables and rice.
This delicious beef liver and veggie fry is a great treat for everyone in the family, and a fun way to enjoy cooking for breakfast. Well, my neighbor stay at home alone today, so I call her sharing some fry. We have a good communication with each other and we always share some food to each other. By the way, the slightly savory from soy sauce add extra special bite of deliciousness recipe.
Although for me it would not be the most natural to take this dish for breakfast, I see it very delicious :))
