A Typical Monday Of My Life As A Service Personnel
Good day everyone, it's another wonderful week to share our ideas. This is how my day goes on a typical Monday.
The beep of my alarm clock wakes me up at 5:00am on a typical Monday morning. As a national service personnel at the Audit department of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo), I need to wake up early to get ready for work. I first have my fajr prayers, sweep the compound and quickly take my bath and get dress.
After a quick breakfast, I step out of the house by 7:40am since my house to the office is a 5 minutes walk and I always want to beat time. As I walk, I mentally prepare myself for the busy Monday schedule that awaits me.
I step into the office at 7:45am. After keeping my bag and greeting staff present, I head straight to the registry department which is closer to our office to collect documents related to on-going audits and investigations which the director needs to review.
I keep the files neatly arranged on his table before heading to the general staff area. There was a meeting with the board so everyone was in on time. The audit committee members were in and seated by 9am. We stood at attention until directed to take our seats. The Chairperson then greeted us and told us their mission for coming and asked us to introduce ourselves.
The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes and we went back to our normal activitiies.I continue compiling information for my report. I also helped my colleagues with administrative work. We went for lunch break at 12:00pm which lasts for an hour.I then helped director to print out documents.Once printing was completed, I assistant an officer to bind and combine related documents into full reports.I then labeled and compiled the documents to be sent to the registry for delivery.
The day ended as work closes at 4pm. That is workday on a regular Monday, I feel a mix of fatigue and happiness.
