IF NOT HOMEMADE

Hello wonderful people, it feels great to participate in this weeks engagement again. I can't miss out from dropping my take on homemade meals and a takeout meal.

With all amount of sincerity, If I have my way, I would always eat homemade meals anytime, any day because I have got my shares of trouble trying to patronize street meals, junks and all that. In all my experiences, I have come to a conclusion that rather than buying already cooked meals from some strange food vendor, restaurant or cafeteria, it is better to sit back and prepare a nice meal at home and eat.

You made wonder why I am sounding so particular about homemade food. I had about three nasty experience on eating out which I am definitely going to share.

My first ugly experience was when I began college and had to leave alone cause my school was really far from home. One day, I left quite early to class without breakfast and before it got to lunch time, I was already so hungry. I rushed to a nearby restaurant since I had some cash on me. I ordered for a plate of rice and sauce. After munching the first three spoons, there and then, I saw a dead housefly inside the rice. That's where the meal ended for me. I felt like throwing up the ones I had already passed down but to no avail. I called the attention of the woman that served me but she was rather defensive so, I just paid for the meal and left.

Secondly, I have a friend who works in a popular eatery in my town so I decided to visit her during work hours one weekend. When I got down, I was told she was at the kitchen area. You can't imagine what my eyes beheld. The kitchen was all messed up, utensils unwashed, the cabinet was fill with dirt and still, cooking was going on. Many thoughts ran through my mind because I would never have believe that the kitchen in this prestigious eatery could be that dirty. This too, gave me a negative sight of any meal prepared outside.

The last one that I will never forget is the experience I had on my first lunch date with my boyfriend.

We decided to sit out for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and when we got down, I requested for fried rice and chicken while my boyfriend got a traditional delicacy. Good heavens! Minutes after the meal, I began to feel a rumbling sound in my stomach, I couldn't keep calm and I had to use the rest room. That was how the lunch date was ruined and till date, I can't tell what I ate that made me develop diarrhea instantly.

So, you see why I will not opt for eating out anymore? I would rather do homemade meals please.

That's very true.
The money used in paying for an outdoor meal can prepare a large quantity of food that can be eaten more than once at home. Thanks for engaging in my post.

The truth is that we take care of our food more of when we prepare them ourselves. It was nice reading through your post @mharvis

I agree with you. I didn't always feel comfortable when eating out because I didn't know the process of the food
