MCGI Brotherly Service on 23rd October, 2023.

The Brotherly Service of the MCGI is always full of fun. Whoever initiated this concept did very well. I was very thrilled as ever when I joined it. It is really fun seeing the excitement on the faces of the brethren when fellowshipping together in the house of God.

A lot of people spend their time doing things that are offensive to God in the name of enjoyment. Thanks be to God that we are privileged to receive real fun and enjoyment in the house of God. What is the enjoyment when you are not sure of having that enjoyment after your life on earth? What is the fun when your life is only waiting for the revelation of God's anger upon you? Brethren, we are the ones having true fun and enjoyment because hereafter, we shall celebrate with Jesus in heaven.

There were competitions and quizzes that triggered brotherly interaction and friendliness among the brethren. I watched as the blue and yellow teams competed together in biblical issues. What fun is it to learn to memorize Bible verses? Won't that make us acquainted with the word of God? It sure will.

I was blessed by the Bible lessons shared by Bro Daniel. I seriously received great lesson from the Bible text in Matthew 7:15

Matthew 7:15 (KJV) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Reflecting on the passage, I received insight in three dimensions.

1. Sheep in wolves' clothing
2. Wolves in sheep's clothing
3. sheep in sheep's clothing

On the aspect of Sheep in Wolf's Clothing, I learnt that as christians we should not behave as non christians. We should not relate with our fellow men in evil manners. We should be bad in character and deeds. We should not say we know God and then be bad examples in society.

On the aspect of Wolf's in Sheep's clothing, these are hypocrites, pretenders. These people know not God. They display as if they have good intentions but yet they don't. These are those going about deceiving people. As christians, we should not be one of those.

Finally, on the aspect of Sheep in Sheep's clothing, we should be good people. We should do good. We should have good manners. We should be real lovers.

Really, I was happy and blessed participating in today's Brotherly Service. I wish to be more regular in joining.
