Enjoying The Gatherings In The Church. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

Good evening, family of God. I wish us all a happy Sunday.

Today is Sunday, it is the day of the Lord. We grew up to know that Sunday is the day of the Lord. On it we go to our worship centers and have fellowship with other brethren.

In the MCGI indoctrination sessions, Bro Eli Soriano taught us to appreciate the church gatherings and honor the same. We were admonished to accept the church. We should join the church and always be in the gatherings.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The gatherings of the church has advantage for us. It accords us to opportunity to listen to the doctrines of Jesus Christ. We are taught the doctrines in the gatherings. We are taught the doctrines so that we can obey them. We cannot please God if we do not know and understand the commandments of God. When we understand these commandments, we will be able to obey them and do the will of God.

In the gatherings of the church we also pray. Prayer is a way of telling God about those things which are problems to us. We talk to God because He is our Father. As children, we should not be afraid to tell our Father of our needs.

Matthew 6:5-7 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

We were taught that we should pray out of a believing heart. We should avoid offenses in our hearts. Praying with repetitions is not necessary when we are praying.
