Would You Save The World At Any Cost?
Sacrificing the few to save the millions? That sounds like a really tough and heart-wrenching decision to make.
Honestly, this topic challenges our values, compassion, faith, and also our love for humanity.
As humans, we are wired to care for one another. We're not just logical thinkers, but we are also emotional, compassionate, caring, and empathetic.
We always try to put ourselves in other people's shoes and feel their pains. If it were possible to save the world, I guess we all would.
Would you be willing to sacrifice your loved ones for the greater good, or just sit back and allow everyone to suffer? Would you or would you not because of your faith, values, or your emotions?
Sacrificing the few? The answer is No, I hope I'm never in a situation like that because I wouldn't know what to do.
I can't imagine being faced with an impossible choice like this. A heart-wrenching decision that would bring the greatest good, and on the other hand, watch millions of people suffer in pain (that's one thing I can't stand). If it were to be in a movie, I guess we all would sacrifice the few to save the many, but in reality, it's reversed the case.
If my loved one Is in a near-death situation and all hope is lost, I think I can, even tho it's painful.
In a situation like this, the pain and guilt wouldn't be that much (I would compensate myself with the idea that it was for a good cause) but in a case where the person is doing fine, omo!!
Quick question; why does it have to be me tho? I mean there are so many other people in the world who might be willing to. The world is not so unkind that it would pick my family and me in particular to sacrifice someone I love or the people I love to make the world a better place. I'm kidding lol.
But To be candid, I won't sacrifice someone I love to save the world; after all, we all have been suffering since the time of Eve. I can't bear the guilt and all the emotional trauma that comes afterward.
I remember one night when my younger sister and I talked about how different we were. She said I was the most compassionate person on earth. I am so emotional and would go to any length to make sure the people around me and others are comfortable and happy. In a way it's good, but sometimes I end up bothering myself so much about things I don't have control over.
Honestly, I don't think I can live with the weight of such a decision, I am an overthinker and a Christian. Doing something like that would hunt me for the rest of my life.
I can only imagine the guilt, pain, regret, and depression that comes with making such a decision.
I'm a Christian and I would never kill just to save millions; Jesus Christ already died on the cross for all of us.
Thanks for reading, and welcome to a new month 🤗❤️
It takes the strong to make such decision. Sacrifices must be made, so, to me, i will gladly make this one
The paused monument to ask why you is really needed in this situation, my dear, situation will not carry our leg to this point by God grace.
I pray not to find myself in such situation because the sound of terrible alone is already off to my personality
It might not be easy but it worth it via sacrifice. I can give my mite for a million to benefit from. Thanks
I understand where you are coming from; even the world people, are they ready to be saved? This is question we should all ask ourselves. Even the son of God, who came to earth to save us, some persons still refused his eternal life. Humans can't be predictable, though.
