Making this entry right now gives me so much joy because I had actually thought I wouldn't be able to due to an health issue I had through this week... But here I am doing the best I could for what I love doing... Singing.

This week's theme "Prejudice" had me thinking really hard on songs I know if they fall into it's category. You won't believe that I had been practicing a new song I found out about until yesterday but changed my mind about the song... Didn’t want to sound unprepared.

So maybe I'll sing that song someday here. For now, let's focus on the song I finally chose to use in sharing my view of the week's theme.

A song I got to know from a movie titled "Rags" and this movie showed how sad a musician could be if not allowed to do their music in the way they can and make impact.

Who says what musicians wear is as important as what they sing?

They are musicians obviously, that means their songs come first and they should be allowed to express themselves in their music. The movie show how a young musician stood up to her father and changed his belief about her as a musician with more of fashion sense and updates.

The song "Look at me" is all about her proving to the world that she's a better musician than what they think she is and their belief won't change her... The song also points to all who feel less or unimportant to take a bold step and prove the world wrong.
