A walk at the school... Quiet environs with greens
I had said I've done a lot of walks but I've been too lazy to share them here in this community, so here is one of the walks I have on my phone taken a few weeks back.
Our school resumed about three months back after a long strike break, but even with the strike being lifted, the school still seem empty a lot of students were preparing for their exams.
From the pictures, you'll see how calm and quiet the school environs is because a lot of students are at home and there are no classes. I only took a walk around to get rid of boredom and I had some things to do outside the school gate so walk with me.
This is a shot I took when I just walked inside the school, it's a long path leading to different faculties and buildings. You can see the beauty of the trees and plants, one of the things I love when walking through the paths in school 😊
I decided to visit our school sport complex (Stadium) and what I saw shocked me 😳
Do you see how grown the bushes are on our school sport complex? It wasn't like that at all... I couldn't even walk any further into the place because it was a bit cold that morning and the grasses were a bit wet. So I just took a shot from afar.
But you could see the field from the picture right? There's also a basketball game post too, maybe I'll share more on that in other posts when I finally go closer.
I continued my walk and was back on the path again, I told you the path leads to different faculties and buildings... We've seen that it led to our school sport complex which is one of the first sights to see in our school.
And then I walked until I got to this building...
This is where all the school students information are processed, kept and attended to if there was an issue... It's popularly called "The administration building" and it was newly built. It wasn't the building I got my information processed when I first started schooling here.
But I've entered the building for other businesses and will be going there for more as a final year student soon.
I also walked close to the only bank in the school, First bank. I took a shot of it and walked past it as I was aiming to visit my own faculty.
Also took a shot of this sight, I think it was beautiful so I just took it to add to my list of pictures. Notice the greens beautifying the environment, do you see the buildings? Beautiful, isn't it?
And off I walked to my faculty, didn't take any more pictures but there were lots of sights to see before getting to my faculty. What do you think about the paths I was walking on?
I think the green trees are what makes it beautiful but I hate it when it rains and I'm on this path 😫 you must get wet as there are no shades until you get to a building close by.
And this is my faculty "Faculty of life sciences", having five departments in it of which I'm studying in one of them. I didn't take more pictures inside, would have love to show you more but I'm stopping here.
Until next Wednesday, I'll show another walk I went on. I hope you had fun with me on this walk.
Nice shots merit, I enjoyed walking as well during my days in the polytechnic because of pictures.
The field is growing grass because there are less activity on it, it is always like that. Happy Wednesday.
Yeah, I'm sure they must have cleared it off by now... It's been weeks since I took this shot
Waka Waka. Lol. Thanks for taking us around AAU. AAU? Am I right? I guess I am.
I was walking right behind you. Lol
Haha someone was actually behind me that day, now I know the face of that someone 😝
Yeah, it's AAU 😏
It could've been me masking up with the person's face. Lol
Yeah, that kinda makes sense 😏
Sorry for the generic reply this week I have some issues limiting how much I can type
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
It's fine, I understand 😊
All these Nigerian campuses look alike. I'm just looking through these photos and thinking how much I could make the mistake of thinking it was my own alma mater University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC).
How come you guys were able to come back when ASUU is still striking?
Hahaha yeah, I noticed that about Nigerian Universities... Same structure style 😏
My school asked us to resume, a lot of lecturers resumed too but some are extra stubborn and my department happens to be leading among the stubborn ones... Exams are being delayed in some departments while others are done writing 😒
Hmm. I didn't know some schools can flout the strike like that. Anyways..
Even I am surprised up till now that they are able to do that 🤔
Heheheh. Okay.
