A Laughing Beauty: Doubling The Charm
While I was putting up how to go about this preference question "Would you rather have a good sense of humour or be pretty?" a thought came to mind and I'll share, "Beauty fades but many memorable moments come from humour" and this doesn't mean beauty isn't important too.
Who wouldn't love a beautiful thought, a beautiful face, a beautiful painting or even a beautiful whether? Most humans are attracted to the beautiful things of life and in that thought, a great sense of humour that puts people in a good mood is one of them and I'm both for anyone.
Growing up, I've always thought I wasn't blessed with the looks but somehow I was comforted by the way people loved to be around me because they find my words amusing and I don't spare a smile or laugh when they make a moment funny or memorable, I figured I had a sense of humour.
The lady I am now knows she's a beauty regardless of what anyone might say so even though I have more moments where my humour is complimented, I've had a lot of moments where my looks were giving positive remarks. So you could say, I am definitely a double charming.
But if I am to choose just one to stay or if I will go for one in a person I want to spend time with, a great sense of humour is my preference with no second thought. Good looks are great, I know but it'd get boring to keep looking at if there are no exciting moments to compliment that beauty.
I am a person who tries to find fun in almost any situation I find myself in and that has made me a favourite to many friends in conversations and many places I get to interact with people after doing away with the awkward "first time meetings", I can be very shy at first but not later.
I keep getting compliments like, "You're so funny, I never imagined you'd be like this because you were so quiet when we first met". And I don't blame them, I think it's just me reading the room to know better how to display my humour, if it will be accepted or unnecessary to them there lol.
With the kind of people I live with, I'll say I got the humour from them. A lot of us from my family both closer and far distant relations that I've lived with, there is this constant flow of humour that keeps the house going even when we are in some crisis. We'd resolve fights with humour too.
I am more of a humour person than a beauty face and so I'll choose to be that person at anytime and anywhere but there's no hurt to hear people appreciate my looks while I dish out my humours, it's a double charm from me and so a double compliment to me is one I'd be grateful to hear.

You are both, believe me.
I'm not a funny person but I love humour. I would trade a good sense of humor for prettiness, any day.
Haha thanks dear.
It's the best pick really.
You're beautiful WITH a sense of humour - jackpot! Lucky you!
