A funny addiction, do you have one?
I can bet a lot of people do have this as one of their addiction but not sure if it's funny for them but it is for me, well kinda lol. I still wonder how some people live without having this addiction though, yeah... Some people don't have this addiction, they actually hate this addiction.
Okay, let me stop beating around the bush and say it already... I'm talking about being addicted to sweets.
Yes, taking sweet is an addiction to some of us if not all and that includes myself... I'm just going to focus on how this is a funny addiction to me.
Any of us would agree that taking too much sweets isn't healthy for every human except you are a hater and in need of sugar in your system (How do people even let that happen to them anyway?). Well, I'm one who knows very well that I don't need too much sugar and I don't need to be reminded.
But guess what! I am addicted to sugar that I have gotten used to hearing those reminders and still go ahead with the amount of sugar I want to take... Too much sugar.
Who uses sugar for a cup of tea that is sweet already?
I'm number one in that and please don't ask how many cubes of sugar I use for a cup of tea... Who knows? Maybe you take way more than I do 😂 (Trying to reduce my punishment here).
Okay, here's a little funny story about my sweets addiction...
There was a day I was having a very painful stomach ache... You can guess what the cause was, I had too much sugar through the month and it was time to face it during my monthly flow. Any lady who experience abdominal pains during her menstrual flow would get what I mean.
It was so painful that I couldn't move from a place to another, I had to bend like an old woman to get some things around my room (I was alone so no one to boss around). I won't lie, I cried a bit (or maybe a lot? 😢) but here is the funny part.
My friends came visiting and was pitying me for what I was going through. One of them asked me what I wanted to eat because they could guess easily that I had not gotten anything to eat... I never liked eating when I'm on my monthly flow but it isn't because I don't feel hungry, it's because I'm scared the pain would get worse.
But after my friend asked, I answered almost immediately as if I had planned what I wanted to eat in mind before the question popped up. You won't believe what I told her I wanted, don't laugh...
Meat pie and cold soft drink
Who orders for that when in a pain that those stuffs caused? Me! And I didn't care, I made sure to finish the snack and drink then guess what I did after... I took drugs to calm the pain that was upcoming.
It may not seem funny enough but in reality, you would laugh at me so much (my friends actually did) but I wonder why they didn't stop me from taking the drink at least. I guess I'm not the worse sweet lover.
Well, I finished eating, took the drug and lied down my stomach facing downwards on my bed while I listened to my friends gist about stuffs. I didn't feel any pain thanks to the drugs I took, the end of the flow finally came and I was free.
You can try to imagine how I am after every menstrual pain... Freedom to explore and feed in more sugar. I'm finding a way to fight my addiction though but it's not easy or is it? Do you have this addiction too?
Thanks for reading!!!

I love bitterleaf
You say?
😂😂😂
Lol. Funny to some extent and I noticed most females happen to have this very addiction especially if you talk about consuming chocolates and candies. I'm writing out of experience tho and I'm happy I'm not driving the same lane with you guys.haha😅.
And I think to me, what ever time or condition you find yourself and you feel like taking a particular food or snack, you should go for it at least but not taking it too much in the case of sugary substances
Not taking it too much is the issue here o
Little isn't satisfactory to me 🙄
😂 your case is supernatural then,
Lol, if I should suggest the you should take less sugar, I'll just be wasting my energy, for your friends not to stop you from taking snaks, common, they most have known your level of relationship with you and sugar, just take care if your self in order not to cause a problem that is hard to solve...
Haha I understand, thanks anyways 😌
Congratulations, you just made history by writing the first COM post with type 2 diabetes.
You got that right!
Omg...this was really a mad punchline 😂
Yes ha,ha,ha,ha. Of course you are very young, but I almost gave up this addiction when they let me know that by eating too many sweets they could cut my legs since my circulation was behaving very badly. of course with this I don't want to tell you to stop eating sugar, I think our genetics is very linked to that of the ants. It is sexy to eat a chocolate, we look younger and provocative, but I better watch my legs, I don't have that period anymore, I better try to bring my glycemia to 80.
A big hug @merit.ahama
Hahaha that's a thing to make me stop taking sugar too, cut my legs? It's scary to think of 😅
Well, I don't have such threat so I'm not going to stop just yet.
Thanks @lisfabian I love hugs 🤗❤️
Well I think that was just a way for you to get away from the psyche of the pain. Sorry about the menstrual cramps you had I hope you're good now.
Yeah I am, it's gone but will be coming soon again 😅😢 don't want to think about it, I'll fight through it over and over.
Thanks 😊
You have my hugs.. sorry.
I think you should stay hydrated too.
Being hydrated helps? Never thought of that but I'm adviced to take only warm water during that period (makes me loss interest to take water at all 😩)
Just take sufficient water warm or not. Stay hydrated.
No problem, thanks 😊
