My lost but found sim card

Hi guys. It's testimony time 🤸🤸
I lost my sim card or better still misplaced it because of my carelessness. It is a Glo sim. Nigerians particularly will know this sim.

How did I misplace it? Let me tell you how it all started.

So, I have had this sim card since 2019 and I got it on a platter of gold(free of charge). The sales person was actually begging people to come, buy and register. I passed him at that time and told him I was in a hurry but he said it was not going to take a lot of time and it didn't. I got it for free except that I had to load airtime and call with it within 24 hours to avoid my line from being blocked. That was when I owned and started using this Glo sim card.

I enjoy using this line so much even though it took me some days before I could recite my phone number offhand. I love the fact that on every recharge, I am given data and airtime bonus.

This Glo sim is the second sim I have meaning I have two numbers. But this girl was still not satisfied. Three months ago, I decided to buy a new sim, a different one this time around. Not because I am tired of this one or anything but I just bought it.

Yeah, I eventually got that new sim and since I had one phone with two sims in it plus the one I just got which makes it three, I had to remove one of those two so as to be able to use this new one.

I told my mom about my new love (sim) and the wonderful data plans they have even though it's majorly monthly plans. She advised me not to remove it and that I would be missing a lot.

By the time all the enthusiasm I had upon getting this new sim left and my eyes opened, it seemed as if my Glo sim was angry and decided to hide itself.

I searched and searched for it but all to no avail. I checked my bags, opened the middle of my books to see if it was hiding and even checked the pockets of my clothes but I didn't find it. There was even a day that I dedicated some hours to look for it. I lifted my bed up to see if it was lying beneath it but it was not just there.

That was when I started remembering all my mom said about not removing it. Such a disobedient child I was😔

The problem is not that I can't get a new sim. Glo sims are still very much available in shops just that it is no longer free, one has to pay for it.

I thought about a lot.

Ohh, I can even go to a Glo office and claim to have lost it and have my line retrieved but I can't do that without my mom knowing about it. To retrieve one's sim, you have to get to their office very early in the morning, around 7 or thereabout. I can't leave home at that time without informing her about where I went to because she already warned me.

At this point, I stopped trying and turned it to a prayer point. I told God to tell me where it was because searching for it on my own has been futile.

And guess what happened? I found it! Yeah you guessed right 😊

This Monday as I was going to the sitting room with my food in my hand (I was actually coming from the kitchen), I sighted something under the pressing board but I just walked past it. I had just seen a bag of mine I didn't even know it was there.
Well, I paid little attention to it. But as I was eating, I had a nudge to go back and take that bag away from there. Even though I don't like moving up and down whenever I'm eating I don't know what got into me on that day that made me stand up and go check that bag on that day.

On checking the bag, I saw a very small purse. I decided to check yunno maybe money might be in it but I was in for a pleasant shocker. I saw two chewing gum inside it and behind it is my Glo sim card🤭 You need to see me on that day. To say I was happy is an understatement. I was jumping around. I would have lost a lot of numbers if I hadn't seen it because when I bought this sim I was still using a small phone and I could only save on my sim and there was no way I could back up my contacts on my Gmail. Especially numbers of my friends in secondary school.

Breaking this good news to my mom was the next thing on my mind but a thought came to my mind: 'What if your sim has been blocked due to inactivity?' I got sad again. I decided to try my luck but gently this time around. I bought a low amount of airtime just in case.

I called someone and it went through. My sim was found, it was not blocked and still very okay... Thank God. I should have just involved God from the very beginning.
