15 minutes is a short time and if I am given 15 minutes to talk with an audience about any topic of my choice I am going to choose a short and meaningful speech I can round up quickly.

Before I will do that I will know the kind of audience I want to speak with maybe it’s students, adults or children then that will determine the kind of topic I will be speaking on. But the best I can do is choose a topic that is going to go well with any kind of audience.

So the topic I am going to be talking about will be self-care and the importance of self-care.

What is self-care?
Self-care simply means the process of taking the time of doing things that help you live healthy physically and mentally. Those things are Good hygiene which includes washing hands regularly, brushing teeth, and washing foods before eating. An example of these foods is fruits.

Why will I be talking about this particular topic?
I will be talking about self-care because I want my audience/people to know why it’s important to take care of themself. If they take care of themselves by eating healthy foods and avoiding the intake of things that can damage their health like hard drugs, cigarettes and alcohol then their health will be in a stable way and they will sure live long and live a healthy life.

Self-care also helps manage stress, increase energy and lower the risk of having an illness. Practising self-care and tending to yourself will also help in boosting your self-esteem and Improve your physical health and your mental health. So it’s best for my audience to know why taking care of themself is important.

Some people can go two days or three days without brushing and that’s very bad. Speaking with my audience I will let them know there should never be a day without them not brushing their teeth and if It’s possible they should brush twice a day.

What does this topic ” self-care” mean to me?
Self-care has helped my life in many different ways. It has helped me stay healthy because I take care of my health by staying away from things like drugs, smoking, and taking a lot of alcohol that can damage my health and no matter how busy I am or how tight my schedule is I always create time for myself.

The practice of self-care has helped me maintain a healthy relationship with myself and the people around me. Taking care of myself has been my priority and I learn to love and cherish myself regardless of anything.

you all know it’s 15 minutes I will be using to talk about self-care so I will make it brief and pass the message to the audience with simple and not complex language for them to understand and start practising self-care because it’s something that can be done or practice willingly and can’t be forced.

Self care is neglected for silly reasons I can't even figure out sometimes. We tend to forget about our health and well being and b come too focus d on other things that affects us negativity and positively too....

Self care is something 70% of persons living in Nigeria lack. reason why you find dirty drainages and dirty littered almost everywhere you go.
