# DIY on how I bake and cover my vanilla cake with gelatin fondant
Good day everyone, Hello to all my fellow members on hive, today am going to show you how I cover my vanilla cake with fondant
Recipe for my vanilla cake
Flour - 500 grams
Sugar - 400 grams
Butter - 500 grams
Eggs - 10 eggs
Vanilla flavor - 3 teaspoon
Preservatives - 1/8 teaspoon
Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
ways and method on how I bake my vanilla cake
Firstly i measure my butter and sugar and cream until it becomes soft and fluffy
After my butter and sugar is well creamed then in another separate bowl I have my dry ingredients measured which is my flour baking powder and preservatives
After then in another separate bowl I have my eggs, I break them and whisk until it foamy
After then I started mixing my cream butter and sugar with my eggs together, I mix gently I don’t over mix then follow by my flour, baking powder and preservatives and flavor then the final mixing was done

After finish mixing then I divided my cake into cake pans
Baking was done in my local oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour
Recipe for my gelatin fondant
Icing sugar - 1kg
Glucose - 100 grams
Water - 70 grams
1 tablespoon of gelatin
Half tablespoon of cmc
ways in making gelatin fondant
Firstly I measured my water in a separate cup and my gelatin also in a separate cup then I now pour my measured gelatin inside the water and leave it for 5 to 10 mins to dissolve
Then in another bowl i measure my cmc and my icing sugar and mix together
After then I put my gelatin on the hot water and melt, After melting then I added my Glucose then still put it back on the fire again and melt completely
After then I now remove small out of the icing sugar then add my measured gelatin and Glucose add gradually until well mixed
How I cover my vanilla cake with gelatin fondant
Firstly I combcroat my cake with some little butter cream after combcroating then I leave for like 5 to 10 mins before decorating
Then I measured the height and length of my cake, before rolling my fondant out with my rolling pin, after it is well measured then I cover my cake with the fondant, and I make use of my smoother to get my sharp edges and make it look beautiful and clean
After then I added some pink fondant to decorate the body so it will make it look more beautiful.
Never really tried this gelatin cover buh hopefully will do soon
