ON A TOUR AROUND UNI ARTIFACTS IN PH
Today i decided to take a tour around a university located in port harcourt River State Nigeria. PS, this is going to be a three days series because the uni is just so big to be contained in one or two posts with many beautiful discoveries.
NOTE The pictures were taken by me and the write ups are mostly guesswork. 😀
So i walked past so many departments because i only wanted
to take pictures of the beautiful artifacts around the fine art department, but i only discovered that there are a lot to take home with.
This is one of the oldest artifacts made by some Alumni . I'm not sure what it entails but it sure looks like two male in disagreement.
Here, i took a shot of another artifact of a blindfolded woman holding a balance scale, a sword and a book at her feet with an encryption that says "PERVERSION OF JUSTICE".
And this, is definitely a man fighting or aiming with a hammer.
This is another one showing a man aiming with a bazooka and definitely at war.
Here shows a woman lamenting or probably wailing over something.
This shows a farmer or a soldier on his way to war/farm with a farm tool or a weapon.😅
This is actually the simplest to interpret . Here shows a man separating his two wives from fight. And for sure, one is pregnant and the other isn't.
I also found some drawings at the entrance of another building. Definitely Music dept.
Because the drawings are basically musical instruments.
And here's another one and the last of the drawings.
I also captured some beautiful flowers and some grasses. The entire school was just full of flowers.
This is called the Tecoma stans (Yellow elder)
from the family of Bignoniaceae.
According to WIKIPEDIA, It is a species of flowering perennial shrub in the trumpet vine family, Bignoniaceae, that is native to the Americas.
Sea Hibiscus Tree (talipariti tiliaceum): This appears to be a mahoe tree, aka sea hibiscus .
Eupatorium capillifolium, or dogfennel, is a North American perennial herbaceous plant in the family Asteraceae. SOURCE
Found something hiding inside the dogfennel!
A Grasshopper! two of them. I think one is protecting the other🚶♀️.
Acalypha wilkesiana, is an evergreen shrub growing to 3 metres high and 2 metres across from the family of Euphorbiaceae.
Beautiful flower linings.
Here is an old log covered with shrubs already.
And that's the end of this episode.
THANKS FOR VISITING MY POST, I HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN . MUCH LOVE 😘
