Bread cake is a dessert that a lot of people like, in bakeries they are usually fresh and delicious. There is nothing like making it at home and feeling dedicated to prepare this delicious delicacy.
Bread cake is a dessert that reuses the main ingredient, bread. In the past, a few years ago, there was usually bread left at home and it was kept to give another use as bread flour or to make a dessert.
This has changed because we almost buy the bread of the day and at home just enough, as it happens in my house, saying that it is not enough to reuse.
This cake arose because a bread was bought and when it came home was not a new bread, if he ate three loaves was a lot the day of purchase, the next day we left it, I kept in the fridge to see what to do with it.
The search for bread cake recipes began because I don't think I had made one on my own, many recipes with different procedures, one ingredient or another. I decided on this one that I show below because it seemed to me very rudimentary the way to make it.

The first thing to do was to cut the bread into pieces by hand, set aside.

Ingredientes utilizados
1/2 kilo de pan
2 tazas de leche
4 huevos
1 taza de azúcar
4 cucharadas de mantequilla
1 cucharada de esencia de vainilla
1/2 taza de pasas (opcional)
1 tacita de café de ron (opcional)
1 cucharadita de canela (opcional)
Ingredients used

2 cups of milk
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1 coffee cup of rum (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Para el caramelo
6 cucharadas de azúcar
6 cucharadas de agua
1 molde de 20 centímetros
For the caramel

Before making the caramel, mix the bread with the milk so that it is very well moistened.
Then, it was to make the caramel in the same mold, until it is golden, if you want it darker leave it a little more, but do not let it burn.

The raisins and rum are optional, even if you are going to use them, add the rum with the raisins so that the raisins are impregnated with the rum.

Once the caramel is ready, set the pan aside while you proceed with the preparation.

In a separate container, beat the egg with the sugar very well until the sugar disintegrates.

The butter is put in a bain-marie to dilute it. It is added to the previous mixture.


Add the vanilla essence and the baking powder. Mix everything again until it is well integrated and proceed to the next step.

Ready the bread hydrated with the milk, to this one the liquid ingredients are integrated.

Here everything is joined very well with very clean hands (this process is what I call rudimentary), in case you do not want to do it with your hands you can use your favorite paddle. Add the raisins.

Place the mixture in the mold.
Cover it with aluminum foil and place it in a bain-marie at a temperature of 180 degrees. The baking time was 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Remember: each oven is different, everyone knows their own oven, it can be less time or a little more.

Ready out of the oven.
Remember to use the wooden toothpick to know if it is ready.

Do not leave too much time to unmold, the caramel hardens and then can stick, it is more complicated later. The result in presentation was very pleasing, the taste was exquisite. The traditional bread cake.

Esta receta habla de tu capacidad de adaptación y cómo de un suceso poco agradable (como lo es comprar pan que no esté suave) puede salir un postre que en tu primer intento se ve bien apetitoso...y cabe destacar que no soy fan de la torta de pan, pero esta luce genial :)

Cuando querìa comer torta de pan iba a la panaderìa, pero nunca pasaba por mi cabeza hacerla en casa.

Amiga no dudo mucho que esta torta de pan haya quedado deliciosa , a mi me gusta más la casera que las que venden en la panadería , debe ser porque se hace añadiendo el toque personal y que sabes que las comerás recién hecha. De verdad que es una manera genial de utilizar el pan que queda buenooo cuando queda jejeje.
La torta de pan es uno de mis postres favoritos, también hago lo mismo con los panes que se quedan en la nevera y la verdad es que una riquísima manera de combinarlo con otros ingredientes para endulzarnos la vida.
