The Curse in No Man's Sky

Greetings! Welcome to my No Man's Sky gaming blog. Recently we've been confused by Sean Murray with the emoji 🤬. Just before the update, he's been using that emoji to hint what's the coming update. So expedition 16 is the curse, and that's what he mean by the emoji. Today I started Expedition #16 : The Curse. After initiating the mission inside the Space Anomaly, I spawned on Planet Terroyhil XIV. So, there are five phases to complete in two weeks, less time than before. What I like about this expedition is the new starship reward! It is so awesome!! So buckle up, let's get started!

My first mission was the Out of Time mission. It required me to find a place of rest. I walk into an abandoned building, where there were whispering eggs surrounding it. Inside the building, I activated a broken terminal, which was quite chatty. After a few seconds, I completed the first mission and rewarded the elixir of glass recipe.

There were a bunch of spectral anomalies watching and following me while I reached my starship's location. As usual, the ship needs to be repaired. The launch thruster and the pulse engine were damaged. While I was collecting the needed materials for the repair, all of sudden, the spectral anomalies started to attack me! I killed enough of them to gather shattered qualia, soul fragments that were required to craft an elixir of glass. Killing the spectral anomalies has completed the Ink Stained Skies mission, and for that I was rewared of the elixir of blood recipe. Now that I have enough material from killing the boundary horrors, I craft my very first elixir of glass and complete the second mission.

My fourth mission was very simple; the Nowhere to Run mission objective was to leave the planet. Easy! While leaving the planet, I tried firing at the giant blue jellyfish, but it left no damage on it.

The fifth mission was to prepare the Elixir of Blood, it required mordite, pugneum, and gold. I went to the space station and mined the asteroids for gold. I went to Planet Libiori, a very beautiful planet that has high sentinel activity. I am targeting the sentinel drones for the pugneum. It's quite challenging to defeat the drone with my current C-class multitools. The damage I dealt to each sentinel drone was really low, but at the end I managed to get enough pugneum and escaped safely. I get mordite from killing the fauna on that planet. The fifth mission was completed, and my reward was an elixir of quicksilver.

I was required to craft an elixir of quicksilver for the Dislocation mission. I went to the space station and bought copper from the trading station. Then, I came back to the Planet Libiori to refine some chromatic metal using the copper I bought. The Dislocation mission rewards me with some inventory slots and multitool upgrades. Then, I consume the elixir of Quicksilver in order to reveal the location of a nearby portal.

The portal's location was detected, so I flew and followed the marked place on the planet. I activated the portal and went inside it, then I warped to a new system and completed the Beyond the Boundary mission. With that, I have completed all 7 missions of phase 1. I have four phases to complete left, but that's enough for today. Thank you so much for your time and support. Until we meet again on phase 2 of the expedition. I wish everyone a nice day and the best of luck!

I made it this far yesterday as well! I need to finish this one since I really want that ship. I forgot about the last expedition.
And I didn't realize this is the 16th expedition!!! That is a very important number in the universe!

Without you mentioning it, I never realized about the number (16th). Yup, seeing quite several times in the game. Probably that's why the time limit for the expedition is shorter now?

On an unrelated note, I noticed recently you shared a post about eXode game by Elindos. Have you checked that out yet? Are you interested?

I plan to read the post later. I haven't checked it yet. Yes, I might be interested in playing Exode again, but time is the problem.

Hahaha I agree
Although I am a strong supporter of the project, the time escapes me as well!
Hope to see you soon in that universe. The updates are coming in hot!
