PIZZA!
This week, almost every day after work, I’ve had to go to town. On Monday, I went to the clinic. Yesterday, Tuesday, I went to fix the grass cutter, and today I had to pick up some online orders. The 60-kilometer round trip feels quite far, especially when you’re tired, hungry, and in a rush. Before heading home today, I managed to get a haircut. The traffic, as usual, was super slow. I was aiming to reach home by 4 p.m., but I only made it by 5 p.m. Because of that, I couldn’t get around to cutting the grass around the house.
When I got home, I was starving. Luckily, my wife made some bread pizzas, and they were so good. I ended up eating seven slices and a bowl of laksa-flavored instant noodles. Even Rex and Rez had their share, each finishing four slices of bread pizza.
I was told that at school, Eiona has been super active with activities that stimulate her mind and improve her motor skills. I saw a picture of Eiona and her friend Clara stacking wooden blocks. They were building their dream castle. I can imagine all the fun stories and fantasies Eiona and Clara must have been sharing while creating their castle. It’s clear she was having such a great time.
I came across some old photos and suddenly felt this deep longing for Ray, my firstborn, who has passed away. If you visit my original account, @remenzer, you’ll get a glimpse of the hardships our family has faced. The pain and sorrow never really go away. I feel it’s the kind of pain that will stay with us forever. But over time, year by year, we’ve grown stronger in dealing with it. The pain is still there, unchanged, but we’ve become tougher and closer as a family through it all.
