Romania 1 Leu Nickel coin.
In 1966 Romania ceased to be a People's Republic, it becomes socialist.
For that, wording changed from R. P. R. to Republica Socialista Romania.
On the coin obverse there's the coat of arms of the socialist republic of romania which it engraved around the outer rim with the year of mintage 1966 on the bottom.
On other side we see the number one over a farm scene with a tractor and the sun is at the back behind two mountains. This Romania 1 LEU currency is a nickel-clad steel coin that weighs 5.06 grams with 24.6 millimeters in
diameter, 1.55 millimeters thick with a smooth edge, these coins were issued for circulation in 1966.
