A deranged king

What I see :
An armored king with a crown wearing a deranged and evil smile looking into what seems to be a magic mirror with some sort of magical essence around him in a room with magical items like the skull beside the mirror and jewelry that may be magical too.
What I feel :
I feel the man in the picture is a malicious and greedy magician king who has trust in himself and is proud and satisfied with his doings whatever they might be.
King Raymond locked the door as he entered the room, it was where he carried out his immoral acts. Being the king of a kingdom where magic was not accepted, he had to hide when carrying out his outrageous acts. Raymond wasn't just a magician but he was a greedy and wicked one, a power-drunken magician.
Raymond was preparing for a battle. And when he went into the room to do the usual thing he always did to win every fight he had won.
The room had many magical artifacts. He went straight to a magic mirror which he used to fortify himself making his skin untouchable and impenetrable from any sword.
"met il li gil met tret eth...," he whispered to the mirror some magic words. He then started glowing when he was done with the spell.
He smiled menacingly into the mirror as he already fantasized about all the rewards and spoils he was going to get from the war that he was sure he had already won.
Thanks for visiting my post
Now that's preparation to ensure a win. I feel you accurately portrayed the contest photo of a greedy king bent on evil. I love the plot where he uses his magic to make himself impervious to deadly weapons. You foreshadowed events of the outcome of a war by outlining the king's preparations. I would have loved to read how his strategy worked on the battlefield. Nicely done.
Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the portrayal of the greedy king and his strategic preparations. Maybe one day, I'll explore the battlefield outcome in another story.
Evil King that would stop at nothing to remain a tyrannical king, I'm sure his subjects cringe under his rule.
It's truly disheartening when leaders prioritize power over the well-being of their people. Hopefully, there will come a time when justice prevails, and the subjects find relief from tyranny.
Raymond has a lot of faith in himself being unbeatable even immortal. Let's hope he won't bump into a better magicians.
Raymond's confidence is admirable, but in the world of magic, there's always room for surprises and new challengers. It'll be fascinating to see how his journey unfolds.
Perhaps a follow up will be written?
Yh, maybe 🤔.😁
That's one mean and greedy king who delights in war and ensures he wins by hook or by crook, and take the spoils for himself! You depict the image very well in your short piece. Well done!

Thank you for your feedback! It's always intriguing to explore complex characters like the king, whose actions reflect the darker side of power. I'm glad you appreciated the portrayal in my writing.

I believe this is the only entry with a magic spell 👍
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the magical touch. It's always fun to sprinkle a little enchantment into the mix. 👍
That bit of extra indeed does the trick. 👋
Hola @menace123, Buena historia, el rey Raimond ganaba batallas, sin valerse de sus propios meritos. Saludos
¡Gracias por sus comentarios! La destreza estratégica del rey Raimundo ciertamente jugó un papel importante en sus victorias. ¡Saludos!
The story was done in simple words, I liked it.
