Making a Creamy Garlic Chicken Breast
Hi Hivers! Since Christmas is approaching, this dish is ideal for serving on special occasions. I'll show you how to make a Creamy Garlic Chicken Breast
Here's a step-by-step guide for you.
Ingredients needed:
For the chicken
- 4 large boneless and skinless chicken breasts cut into halve
- Flour (I used all purpose flour)
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt
- Garlic powder
For the sauce
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 1/4 cup chicken broth (stock)
- 1 1/4 cup half and half or heavy cream (or evaporated milk)
- 1/2 cup finely grated fresh Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley
For the chicken breast:
Cut your chicken breasts in half first. Make sure you cut them into thin pieces to cook more quickly and evenly.
.Season it with pepper, salt and garlic powder
Mix flour and parmesan cheese in a plate or bowl
Coat the chicken breast with the mixed flour and parmesan cheese.
I used a combination of oil and butter to add more flavor Start heating over a medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.Fry chicken breast until golden brown
Take the chicken breast out of the pan and set it aside.
For the Sauce:
Don't throw away any of the chicken bits from the pan since they add a lot of flavor to the sauce. Cook the sauce in the same pan as you cooked the chicken.
After taking the chicken out from the pan, sauté onion
Smash 3 cloves of garlic
.Add the remaining oil. Mix it through the onions. Sauté 3 smashed garlic cloves and 3 whole garlic cloves.
Add the chicken broth.
Turn the heat down to medium-low. Pour the cream. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the parmesan cheese. Continue to simmer on low heat until the cheese melts.
Stir occasionally. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
.
Add the chicken to the pan. Allow the sauce to thicken for another 2-3 minutes on low heat, so all of the flavors will be absorbed by the chicken breast.
Take it out of the pan and garnish with parsley.
