BlockchainPoets Weekly Prompt - Time
(Edited)
This week's prompt is: Time
- The system of those sequential relations that any event has to any other, as past, present, or future; to measure or record the speed, duration, or rate of;
- The duration regarded as belonging to the present life as distinct from the life to come or from eternity;
Time passed,
I was unable to fulfil my heart's desire to connect with you,
everything crumbled to dust.
I never thought that our love would change,
that we would part ways.
This time,
my heart whispers with thoughts of you,
our memory of love faded.
Loneliness has taken root in my soul.
I was badly cut and bruised.
If only I had the second, I'd be content.
Give me some time,
Please have some patience with me;
I've been waiting for your response for a long time.
If you have any mercy, please give me a sign;
I am suffering here.
My life has no meaning.
Dear Time,
Allow me to prevent this from happening,
I will show you what it means to be loved.
Allow our love to be reunited once more.
Allow me some time to demonstrate it again.

Nice lines Mel. I think I should join this one, just pray I get the time inspiration. Lol
You can do it @windgirl !
I'll wait for it.
Or else, time is running out!
Hahaha... Just kidding.
Haha! I know it's all part of the timing contest. Lol
I guess no time was required because it's not a contest, but because it was the theme or prompt this week, it was fairly simple for us to write something based on the theme.
That's great then. Thanks
This speaks to me... time has a way of leaving scars that never go away as much we might like them to. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing your words. 😃
Have a great day/evening.
All that is left sometimes are words, when the ability to act is lost.
The best poetry will always be your own experience.
Have a good day @inthenow .
Nice work. Captures the way we dwell on time, when we mean things we'd like to be different
I am glad you like it.
Thanks @stuartcturnbull
