LifeStyle Village Christmas Party
LifeStyle Village Christmas Party
The Christmas celebations were in full at the Lifestyle Village Woodlea Christmas Party, an event filled with holiday cheer and community spirit. Held in the heart of Woodlea the celebration was not just for the residents of the retirement village but a joyful gathering for the entire community. It was an experience that brought together laughter, music and the magic of Christmas.
As a relatively new development within our growing community it was great to see new and old residents unite in the holiday spirit around good friends and family but there was one special guest that stole the show, Santa!
The kids were thrilled to see Santa arrive in style riding on the back of a Rockbank Fire Brigade fire truck. The sound of the siren called his arrival and the crowd erupted in cheers as the fire truck pulled up. Santa waved to everyone before stepping off to hand out presents to the kids, spreading smiles and joy.
The live Christmas band set the tone for the day, playing a mix of holiday classics and upbeat tunes that had everyone tapping their feet. The music echoed through the grounds, creating an atmosphere that felt both festive and welcoming. Whether you were humming along to "Jingle Bells" or swaying to "Silent Night," the band made sure there was something for everyone.
Food is always a highlight of community events and the BBQ did not disappoint. The aroma of sizzling sausages and grilled onions wafted through the air, drawing a steady stream of hungry visitors. The friendly volunteers manning the BBQ were quick to serve, ensuring no one had to wait long for a hearty meal. The snow cones were a hit with the kids, providing a sweet and icy treat to cool down after all the excitement
Families, friends and neighbors gathered to share in the festive spirit. Residents of the retirement village mingled with younger families and it was heart warming to see generations coming together in celebration. Conversations flowed as people caught up with old friends and made new ones, united by the joy of the season.
The kids, of course were in their element as they got to practice their skills using the fire hose. Beyond Santa’s visit they also enjoyed running around the open spaces, playing games and indulging in their snow cones. Their laughter added to the festive fun, a reminder of what Christmas is truly about spending time with loved ones and creating memories.
The organisers had created a space where everyone felt welcome, and the combination of live music, delicious food, and the magic of Santa’s arrival made it a day to remember.
The Lifestyle Village Woodlea Christmas Party was more than just a Christmas event it was a fun filled day with the community celebrating joy of coming together during the holiday season. It reminded us of the importance of sharing moments of happiness and spreading cheer, not just with our families but with our wider community. It was a day filled with festive fun, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
