Is AI really making life easier?

Artificial Intelligence or better known as AI has been exploding ever since COVID was around and not so much because it is a new concept. In truth AI has been around us for many years although just not as heavily marketed in the media as it is today.

Just take a look at our online Network which is made up of computers, phones, scanners, printers etc all of them are powered by artificial intelligence. Yes you give it the order but it makes it happen. Each year or more so every few days really, our life gets a little more easier because the capabilities of AI increase.

Much of the world around us today is automated even the very blockchains that we use are in some way or form powered by AI. Yes while it is all decentralised it is the computer's coding that tells it how to react and interact with us when we access it.

COVID gave many tech companies the ability to solely focus on further refining the technology and making it in lack of a better word, smarter. Now we have seen an explosion of AI chat bots that can do a broad range of things we only saw in movies.

AI and Crypto

Crypto Currency isn't immune to the current hype of AI technology either with many new crypto projects launching having something to do with AI but it can also be a bit of a trap as recently noticed. As Many unnoticed crypto projects resurge only to rebrand themselves with AI to gain some visibility.

A lot of the pump and dump coins this year have been related to AI and yes, while people are excited about the possibilities AI can bring to Crypto currency a lot of it is still currently just hype in order to sell crypto currencies.

But the Ai crypto projects are still gaining popularity and traction with the current Ai Crypto market cap sitting at USD2.4 Billion almost 100% increase since last month and the daily trading volume for the sector often exceeds USD100m each day.

So as you can see it is quite the hype creator amongst digital asset markets.

IS AI actually making life easier?

Technology is an odd thing as we often talk about how machines make life easier for humans and while none of us are crushing rocks with our hands anymore, depending on what nation you live in. The AI revolution doesn't appear at current to be actually providing all that much to lifting our lifestyles or making life easier for us.

In fact AI might actually be doing the opposite for us as the current explosion in AI has seen low end easy jobs replaced rather than the hard manual labor. AI aren't controlling other machines to crush rocks or do the things human's struggle with, instead opting for easy tasks for quick coin.

Ai takes the easy route

What we have seen from the current Ai's is that they're taking the easy jobs off human's like art and the creation of non-fungible token (NFTs) which once took artists or graphics designers hours to complete is now taking an Ai nothing but a few seconds to minutes depending on what it is that you're after.

The other area that Ai is taking the lead in is with blog articles, we're starting to see more and more people utilise Ai like ChatGPT to write content for them. Something we have caught many people on Hive doing to earn a quick buck.

So as the technology continues to grow we're starting to see it replace easy human jobs and leave the harder jobs like hard labor for humans. this got me thinking about the possible impacts on tomorrows economy and how we live.

Sure Ai will create now jobs for their construction, maintenance and development but as the Ai sector grows and Ai's get smarter no doubt they will be able to one day do all that for themselves.

Many are already aware of the employment dangers Ai Bots have with smaller cataloguing roles and administrative functions but I can't help but wonder what the next few years will be like. Will we no longer follow our fav Hive content creators instead follow bots who can create content directly to our liking?
