Escalante and Bonista trip

Hello everyone , it's me meday. In today's blog, allow me to share my three days trip to Escalante with my family.

Nothing beats the happiness of being complete in your family. No matter how far their house could be, you will always spend time travelling, just to see them.

Here in the Philippines, you don't have to worry of being homesick or lonely in your own household, especially when you have your own family, because here in the Philippines people are very family oriented country, wherein your family will always visit you at anytime and anywhere. It may sounds cliche but that's the fact of living here in the Philippines.

Me and my family travelled for almost 5 hours from Bacolod to Escalante to visit my uncle. My uncle is the oldest son of my Grandparents. He is living in the northern part of Negros Occidental which is Escalante City .

Escalante City is a city where most people are speaking in bisaya , it is also one of the cleanest city because they doesn't use plastic ,instead they use, paper bags and eco bags. People there are also friendly and very kind. They also talk in a sweet lower tone which makes them sound really sweet and calm.

So as we travelled along the way to Escalante City, we have seen a beautiful sunrise not far behind us, so we stopped by and take a picture of it. Also, we stopped by the nearest store and bought some coffee to start our day. The store is located near the Municipal of Moises Padilla . On the sides of the store, you will see a chicken farm with a beautiful landscape.

As we arrived in Escalante City , we decided to buy some bread and big shrimps for our breakfast at my uncle's house. After we arrived at their house, my eyes was nailed in a fishnet filled with oysters. It was really delicious, that i couldn't stop eating. Though i had more than enough of oysters, thank God that i didn't had an upset stomach.

After we finished our breakfast, we wated to roam around the rural areas of their place, so we went to their fish ponds. Their fish pond is divided into several divisions. In some parts their are milk-fish , some are cichlid fish or tilapia in our term and some are mud shells. Since we are in awe of the beautiful divisions of the ponds, we took a picture of it and appreciate the beauty it possesses.

The next day, we travelled from my uncle's house to Bonista Beach Resort to unwind from our stressful thoughts.

In the resort, there are many things to see, such as mangroves on the left side and the beautiful rock on the right. We wanted to seize the moment as we arrived so we decided to walked on the peak of the resort and took pictures from it. We captured alot of photos and videos from that peak, and we really saw the beautiful resort from above. Me and my two cousins stayed their and took more selfies and talked about random things while sitting at the bench nearby. It was very relaxing and breath taking at the same time because of the view.

When it was about noon, we decided to swim at the bluish ocean with beautiful rock formation at the side. As I sat on the stone, the waves suddenly started to blow and hit the rock where i was sitting. It is not a big wave so i really enjoyed that moment. When the water was about to get high, me and my cousins decided to go back on our cottage and chill out a little bit and come back when the water is low again.

Since the water was not getting low in an instant, we walked to the beautiful area of bonista where there are coconut trees and flowers. While we were walking , i have seen beautiful people wearing there beautiful swimwear like they really prepared the outfit on such day. I caught my self smilling and proud of how confident they are in there own skin and body. Also, as me and my cousins decided to chill at the peak area of the resort, i saw cute guys not far behind us. They were smilling and laughing, they are wearing red and yellow shorts. They kinda look like a foreigner, after doing there thing they head back to their cottage.

After our bonista trip, we headed home and rest. The next morning, i roamed at the backyard of my uncle's house and found a spanish plums Sineguelas . The tree was a bit bald because it doesn't have much leaves since the fruit is about to grow. As you can see in the picture, I am trying to reach the fruit although it's not ripe yet hehe. We also learned how to get mud clams from my auntie, it was hard yet fun. I mud was almost in our thighs but we didn't mind it since our goal was to get a bucket of mud clams.

Our three days stay in Escalante City was tiring but it was all worth it. The experience was really fun and amazing.
I hope one day you guys will be able to visit Escalante City too. You won't regret visiting the city and meeting the people there☺️.
