5 minute Freewrite Ticked off

Lately, i am disinterested by the whole thought of humanity. I feel trapped in my house. The thought of going out seems scaring because you don't know who lays siege waiting patiently to destroy. Interactions with people doesn't seem appealing to me anymore; today friends, tomorrow rivals.

The level of evil taking place on the world gets me on edge. You see humans that claim to live the life of saints perpetrate the most heinous crimes. A few weeks ago, my mum and I were conversing over a story of a little girl that was gruesomely murdered by her uncle to achieve immeasurable wealth. The little girl was adopted by the queen of a particular village here in my town for the sole reason of keeping her company, seeing that all her kids are married. The queen treated the girl dotingly like she was her own. But one fateful day changed everything.

She was sent on an errand by the queen to process palm fruits at a nearby processing mill. The uncle called on her when he saw her coming towards his direction. The innocent girl gullibly went to answer the evil bloated uncle unaware of his evil intention to take her life that day, and the plans he has set in motion to see it through. As she approached the uncle to know the reason as to why she was called upon, the man grabbed her and threw her over a fence where his fellow conspirators laid in wait to finalize the evil agenda to the tee. To spare us the gory details; she was massacred. As karma would have it, they met their waterloo after a whistleblower, who witnessed the incident gave in details of what transpired to the village heads. The youths of that land in their uncontrolable anger unleashed carnage on the culprits.

To say i am ticked off is an understatement. The recent events happening in my country and the world at large gets me terrified of a beautiful world we inhabit. The choices people make lately without taking responsibility of their actions gets me numb; not giving a care in the world how it affects others certainly ticks me off!
