The market is not just a place.
This is an expansion of the famous Kejetia Market, a busy market in the heart of the Ashanti region. Kejetia Market, considered one of the region's largest markets, acts as a gathering place for a varied range of consumers and businesses, resulting in a dynamic scene that captures all who enter.
Continuing on the colourful story of my last market tour, this adventure takes me further into the magnificent broadness that stretches beyond Kejetia Market. The market flourishes here, serving as an example of Ghana's cultural diversity and economic vibrancy. It embraces the idea of community trading, welcoming people from all walks of life, and treating every contact as a pleasure.
Compared to the already-mentioned market, this part is alive with the contagious energy of individuals expressing true love and joy. It is more than just a marketplace. Walking inside this market seems like entering a world where time pauses and each moment develops like a chapter in a riveting story. Ghanaians, noted for their warmth and generosity, welcome guests with open arms, resulting in a memorable encounter that extends beyond ordinary commerce.
The market is an abundant source of agricultural goodness. The stalls are brimming with fresh farm goods, including yams, cassava, plantains, and a variety of tubers. It is a monument to the region's agricultural wealth and the critical role these marketplaces play in maintaining local economies.
As I walk through the market's lanes, the air is filled with the smells of exotic spices and the engaging discussion of traders negotiating.
By showcasing the beauty of this market expansion, I take you to the heart of Ghana's vibrant commercial scene. Markets are more than simply commercial centres. They are live pictures that express a nation's character.
What an amazing write-up
👏

It is a lovely place.
Nigeria and Ghana as much similarities, we have such market in Nigeria. I believe the government should do more in the development of the market. However you did a good job of this topic.
Yes, there are so many similarities.
i used to enjoy going to the market as a kid, but as an adult i've discovered that i shy away from things that brings me stress and going to the market is one of them especially big ones like the pictures above show
Yeah me too, going to the market is so stressful for me now, have to pass through narrow spaces with a lot of people blocking you and the kayeye shouting every minute to give them way.
But I think that’s what actually makes Ghana market ,Ghana market.
Get used to the market and you will love it.

Not the biggest but it is one of the busiest.
You went to a market in a busy city. You said about that market that walking inside that market is like entering another world. It's a commercial place, good or bad, good luck to you.
Thank you.
What a big market, this is just like idumota market here in Lagos state Nigeria but there is a different the people at idumota are always aggressive and harsh but you said the people in this market welcome people that's noted and interested, but I saw cassava, yam and plantian , please what do you use cassava for over there?
Cassava are used for many different things. Food of all kinds.
Is garri included? Because garri is the major thing we do with cassava here
Looks interesting enough to make me to want to see it close and personal. He he!
This is wonderful. I like such markets especially for the availability of agricultural products like cassava. Hmmm this will be one of the outstanding markets around that region.
Hoping one day to visit that market though I'm from Nigeria. Thanks for sharing sir.
