HIVE BOREHOLE PROPOSAL

A PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR BOREHOLE WATER SYSTEM IN THE ASHANTI REGION OF GHANA.

(2022)

@mcsamm

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This project proposal is inspired by the recently completed borehole project in Ghana that was successfully carried out by @mcsamm and @collinz in helping to improve lives and market the hive ecosystem in Ghanaian media outlets. The drilling project was tremendously aided by the involvement and support of a lot of people on the hive blockchain. My heartfelt appreciation goes to all persons who, through their constant advice, support, and direction, made the empowerment of communities in Ghana possible via the installation of a borehole system. The hive ecosystem deserves special recognition for empowering communities via promotional efforts. Below are links to prior borehole project we have completed in Ghana, which have considerably empowered the benefitted community.

INTRODUCTION

Most primary commodities in human's lives, living creatures, plants, and connection with nature rely on water for existence. It is said that 60 percent of the human body is made up of several kinds of fluids that include water. Water availability has never been sufficient to meet global demand, according to research. According to reports, many people in metropolitan areas across Africa lack access to safe drinking water and sanitation. The provision of adequate drinking water in impoverished communities and emerging towns in many African developing nations has mostly gone unaddressed.

As a result, most growing cities in developing nations like Ghana experience water scarcity issues, and in many instances, there are major flaws in the urban water delivery system. There are towns where just a few public standpipes serve a population of over a thousand people. Because the water authorities have not given them with appropriate water supply services, a number of citizens in Ghana have organized illegal tapings from water mains.

Long lines form at public viewpoints in many Ghanaian disadvantaged urban neighborhoods and villages because of inconsistent water delivery or severe low-pressure. During dry seasons, residents in locations where water is obtained from a flowing river have difficulties in obtaining water for everyday use. As a consequence, individuals, particularly women and children, are compelled to get water of dubious quality from streams and ponds, putting their lives in jeopardy. Those who can afford it must rely on mobile water sellers, who sell water in tiny amounts and at costs that are often greater than the cost of water delivery via house connections in moderate and high-income neighborhoods.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Many towns and communities in Ghana have suffered in recent years as a result of having to gather water from locations distant from their homes. During the dry seasons, when water from rivers and wells runs low, residents of these settlements must travel long distances to get water. Women and children are usually the ones that suffer the most from a shortage or inadequate water supply since they have to help guarantee that water is supplied for the whole household.

A realistic look at the life of children and women who live in areas where there is no potable drinking water and are forced to gather water with jugs, buckets, and pots from a journey of one kilometer. And during water shortages, residents in villages and small towns are forced to purchase contaminated water from water sellers or drive long distances to adjacent cities where they could get water.

Water buying and selling is even popular in most Ghanaian cities and towns, making life in the rural unpleasant. This is due to the fact that most places are less well-served by public water than planned areas. There is also solid evidence that inhabitants in uncontrolled poor neighborhoods would spend much for water than those in planned communities.

VISION

The primary goal of this project is to work with the Hive ecosystem to construct borehole water delivery systems for the supply of potable drinking water in Ghanaian villages. The borehole project is intended to alleviate the issues and stress that people have in their hunt for safe drinking water, as well as to prevent water shortages in Ghana's villages and towns.

Furthermore, the construction of boreholes to provide water for people in Ghana's villages and towns is expected to raise the standard of living of residents in selected areas by empowering them and preventing water-related diseases as well as malnutrition as a result of clean water availability among needy community members. The hive initiative will also assist to guarantee efficiency and productivity in the lives of farmers who may need water for agricultural purposes.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The hive ecosystem's building of a borehole system to give water to villages in Ghana is purposefully planned to assure huge and successful hive promotion of the hive ecosystem throughout Ghana and across the globe. Hive advertising is one of the few areas on the blockchain that need care. In practice, there are several channels via which the hive blockchain may be widely publicized in order to garner global attention. The construction of wells and borehole to communities in its empowerment initiatives is one of the best ways to ensure effective promotion of the blockchain.

A recent hive project in Ghana demonstrates the hive blockchain's great visibility in initiatives like these. Members of the communities who will benefit from this initiative will view hive as the primary sponsor of the potable drinking water that has been delivered to the community through the construction of boreholes like these. To do this, hive plaques, logos, banners, and inscriptions are utilized as a promotional tool to spread the word about the hive blockchain.

With the implementation of borehole projects in Ghanaian villages, we demonstrate the hive ecosystem to worldwide audiences as a blockchain community dedicated to empowering people and changing lives. The opening of the borehole water system is intended to capture the attention of most media outlets, which will publish news about the hive ecosystem in order to reach many Ghanaians and the rest of the globe with hive.

PROJECT SCOPE

Many Ghanaian communities face numerous obstacles and problems that the hive ecosystem can address. Among these are environmental challenges and problems that must be addressed in promotional efforts if sustainable development is to be achieved. Charity work, a lack or inadequate accessibility to roads in villages, a lack of sufficient sanitation facilities, poor solid waste management, a lack of storm water drainage systems, and other environmental issues plague Ghanaian communities.

Because the objective of this hive promotional campaign project is to enhance health and empower communities in Ghana, this proposal has especially focused on the project design of a public borehole for water delivery. The emphasis on water supply service was inspired by the fact that, during consultations with community members in various cities and villages in Ghana, water supply was placed first in terms of environmental and health concerns. This plan has gone a step further by considering the projected advantages as seen by community members and leaders.

PROJECT TIMEFRAME / APPROACH

The execution strategy for the hive borehole project is broken into four major segments. Each phase includes sub-activities that must be completed in order for the borehole project to be completed successfully. The borehole will be drilled initially in the first phase. The second phase involves the construction of a tower to house tanks and pipelines. The third phase will include the installation of tanks and pipelines. The last part will be concerned with launching, refreshments and media exposure. The project is planned in this proposal to be finished and ready for launching in two weeks. This would enable all suppliers to deliver their best service in order to secure the completion of the drilling project.

The first phase (drilling & pump installation stage)
This is the first step of the Hive project in Ghana. It is largely made up of borehole construction. Several drilling businesses are available to choose one for this service. The organizations chosen to conduct the drilling component of the project will be based on their unique pricing and services. This is done by a series of trips and interactions with several drilling companies.

Phase two (building walls & pipes installation)
This level is divided into two unique stages. The initial step is to construct the water-flowing wall construction. The wall is designed to contain 2-3 unique pipes that will provide water for the use of a chosen community. Many masons will be consulted in this instance to provide estimations on what will go into it and how things will change. However, the finest and most experienced professionals in these fields are needed, as we feel they will help us build the best wall possible and stand behind it.

The placement of pipes into the newly constructed wall structure will be the second step of this stage. In reality, professional plumbers have will be contacted in order to aid us with the pricing of all the things that will be needed in this stage. The installation of hive plaques on the wall will all be done at this phase of the project.

3rd Phase (Reservoir Tank and Tower)
At this time, the hive promotional project is expected to contain either a pillar of wall that will house the tank reservoir for water storage or a metal tower that will support the reservoir tank that will store water for the town's usage. At this stage, multiple providers are needed.

A platform that will contain two separate water tanks are required. The tanks selected for this project are 3000L, of which vendors will be contacted. In other words, the water pumped from the borehole will be held in these tanks before being piped to the town. When the water in the tanks runs out, the borehole will be turned back on to replenish the tanks.

4th phase (Launching, Media publicity & refreshment)
This is the last step of the building of the hive borehole project. This is one of the most delicate stages of the project since it focuses on publicizing the hive ecology. In this regard, our suggestion aims to treat this period as the promotional stage. It aims to assure the inauguration of the borehole project as well as the necessary arrangements for the presence of media personalities who will be accessible for the unveiling of the completed borehole.

Furthermore, community members are regarded to be a part of the launch, therefore having all members refreshed with drinks and pastries is an excellent option that this proposal seeks to fulfill. The media personalities who will be available for photography and video coverage of the project launch are as well captured in this phase of the project.

FINANCIAL PLAN

The planned Hive borehole project in Ghana, as highlighted in this proposal, is anticipated to cost $4,324.17 (GHC32,653) for its construction.

COST ANALYSIS

PhasesActivitiesCost($)
phase 1drilling & pump installation$1,512
phase 2wall,pipes,plaque,tiles,plumbing$2,150
phase 3Tank,Tower,Electricals, booster$527
phase 4Media,video,photography,refreshment$135
TOTAL$4,324.17

SOURCE OF FUNDING

This project is anticipated to be sponsored and funded by the Hive ecosystem via its Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) initiative. In this respect, the hive ecosystem will be the primary source of funding to assure the project's success. The project is scheduled to be finished within two weeks of the funds being sent or generated to the authorized account to receive funds.

Alternatively, the hive borehole project in Ghana will have to rely on post incentives from the many update posts made by the managers (@mcsamm & @collinz) on the hive blockchain. This is predicted to occur if the blockchain is unable to distribute funds for the project's completion. However, to the post rewards, the various donations and contributions that will be received from other hivers towards the construction of the project will be used in addition to the post rewards to ensure the project's commencement and completion, should the ecosystem fail to release or generate funds for the start of this project in Ghana.

BOREHOLE USAGE & MAINTENANCE

An agreement is anticipated to be made between the project managers and the community leaders about the safekeeping and use of the project. A monthly visit to the project is required by the managers to enable proper monitoring and assessment for the long-term preservation of the borehole project. Respectfully, the community leaders will be required to fill out and sign a document supplied by the hive ecosystem to demonstrate their readiness to assist in the maintenance and safety of the project for the benefit of the whole community and all neighboring towns.

RESOURCE ANALYSIS

  • Budget
The overall amount of money required to finish a successful borehole here in Ghana through all the outlined stages will be determined at the time of construction. This is because of the current economic crisis, which has resulted in regular price increases for products and services. However, based on conversations with numerous stores and vendors, it has been determined that a sum of $4,324.17 (GHC32,653) would be required to build a borehole for a village in Ghana.

  • Sponsor
It is critical to highlight that these swarm advertising operations will very certainly need financial aid. The hive community, as a strong decentralized ecosystem, is the primary sponsor of this borehole initiative, which aims to empower communities in Ghana via its promotional activities. To do this, the hive ecosystem is to provide funds via its Decentralized Hive Fund(DHF) to enable the completion of borehole projects in Ghanaian villages. With the construction of a borehole by the hive ecosystem, it demonstrates to the world its readiness to assist in the empowerment of lives in cultures all over the globe.

  • Stakeholders
To encourage the chosen communities to participate fully and effectively in the development and management of the borehole, the leadership of the chosen towns will be heavily engaged in assuring effective oversight.

  • Project Managers
This proposal highlights the involvement of two young Hivers in Ghana, @mcsamm and @collinz, to manage, conduct and supervise the many hive empowerment programs outlined in this proposal. The hard work of these hive promoters in Ghana will be quite beneficial in setting all of the necessary procedures for its success.

  • Land for construction
A favorable location for the benefit of the community will be sought for the building of the borehole, according to a series of talks with community leaders. This will assist to guarantee that all members of the community can readily reach the borehole without difficulty.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation
According to the plans outlined in this proposal, the project managers @mcsamm and @collinz are tasked with ensuring proper use of the borehole water system that will be constructed for Ghanaian villages. This will be made feasible under the supervision of the recipient communities' local leaders. As the supervisors of the completed borehole project, a quarterly report and visit to the borehole will be provided.

CONCLUSION

Inadequate water and sanitation services for the poor may raise their living expenses, reduce their income, harm their health, and even make life more unpleasant if not dangerous.
Lateness in school owing to the hunt for water from far locations is a problem that stops pupils from continuing with their education, resulting in poor enrollment and academic performance. Borehole development may cut the cost of life in Ghana's villages and communities. Poultry, farming, car washes, and horticulture will be more healthful and productive income-generating activities accessible in communities.

Women who have been bearing the brunt of the strain of water scarcity will see a reduction in their labor. They will also engage in more productive pursuits, giving them more time to care for their families. Malnutrition will be reduced as a result of the availability of a balanced diet as a result of cattle, poultry, eggs, and green vegetable production. Water availability, together with a water education campaign and personal cleanliness among community members, can help to minimize water-related illnesses.

In an effort to accomplish all of this in Ghanaian communities, the hive ecosystem, which offers itself to sponsor and give better lifestyles for people, raises positive awareness in promotion. It is time for the world to recognize the functions of the hive decentralized ecosystem in empowering communities via initiatives. The media attention during hive borehole initiatives exposes the blockchain, which helps to project the ecosystem to investors and a large number of individuals who are interested in joining the blockchain for a better future. Through the empowerment initiative, we realize the blockchain's promotional goal.

RECOMMENDATIONS

This project has a high importance of ensuring the main purpose of the hive borehole as an effective promotional tool for the hive ecosystem. As a result, it is advised that the hive blockchain give this proposal more thought and support, as it not only seeks to publicize the blockchain to the global world, but also empowers communities. In an attempt to empower others, it aims to define the varied demands of societies that draw individuals to the ecosystem.
More and more of these projects are encouraged and urged to be carried out in areas and communities where lives will be significantly improved, allowing hive to stand tall above all other blockchain platforms in the world.

The hive blockchain, on the other hand, is urged to guarantee that this drilling project is considered and given the necessary attention so that it may commence as soon as possible. This is to help prevent the ongoing price increases caused by the economic crisis, which has influenced the cost of countless products and services all over the world. The hive borehole project employs suitable managerial and financial management abilities to give better service and enhance lives in Ghana.
