Roles, responsibilities that do not change over time: WEEK 231
Do you think parenting is easier now that it was thirty years ago? What's your opinion and why, and use examples
It is a pleasure to be here as every Sunday sharing my point of view on one of the topics presented. This time I was inclined to focus on the difference between parenting today and 30 years ago, since being in both roles as a daughter 30 years ago and a mother today I can elaborate a very accurate point of view. Without a doubt each stage has its complexity, I do not believe that one is more difficult than the other, as the limitations of one stage made it difficult, and the abundance in another, so the complexity of each will depend on how the parents approach it according to the limitations, or the abundance.
Although technology has made our lives easier today, it has brought immense problems in the education of our children, and the lack of advanced technology 30 years ago, it occupies us in work that technology makes easier and more accessible today.
So parenting is not going to depend on the era, but on the presence of the father and mother, there together at each stage of their children presented, living the difficulties, and challenges of each stage because each has its own challenges.
I go back in my mind 30 years ago, and thank God I compare the education, of my parents, and although there are differences, the one I currently give to my daughter, has the same starting points, the value, respect, tolerance, work, love, difficulties, I only see that the characters change but the difficulties are the same at each stage.
Being parents, now and 30 years ago lead us to the same goal, the limitations, and abundance of the different times, we must know how to handle them without losing the principles, and roles of each one to be parents, always going to do the same now or 30 years ago. When we have a family we must be clear about our role, be present and give our all will always make a difference, that if there was not this or that, this does not affect the upbringing of our children, because we adapt to the times and what we have, we get the best out of each stage.
Just as my parents were with me 30 years ago, I am with my daughter.
