Professional success or personal happiness? : WEEK 227

Choosing between one or the other option is very difficult, since we live in a system that follows patterns in our lives that go from generation to generation, and that mark laws, duties in life, in society, we are born, we study, we find a job, we get married, we have children, it is a sequence that if we skip any of them we are different, or we are not ideal.

We spend years and years studying to develop professionally but if we don't do it we are not seen within the standards of a normal average person, if we don't have a family, we are also outside the standards.

Professional success often leads us to personal happiness, because we feel productive, with very high self-esteem, the two are intimately linked, but at the age where I am well into my forties, from my experience and moment in life, I choose personal happiness, since after I have successfully developed professionally I have realised that it is only part of a stage of our life, that we do need it, but as the years go by, it will not have as much weight as our personal happiness, which causes us well-being, plenitude, peace, tranquillity.

So I choose personal happiness over professional success because of the moment of life I am going through, where I have already developed professionally, where the adrenaline of being successful I don't change it for my mental sugar, that now the priority is to feel happy, be in fullness with me, the environment, and what I enjoy doing, work is a stage in our life, if we must live it, but this is already when we are young, recently graduated from a university.

The work is only a time in our life, and short because sadly when we have a certain age we are no longer attractive productively, so personal happiness will always remain, and is the one that will accompany us until the end of our days.
