SUCCESS HABITS: THINGS I HAVE NOTICED AS A NEWBIE ON HIVE

There are couple of things I have come to observe for the past few weeks I joined the hive blockchain. And it all relates to how to become successful on the Blockchain.

More often than none, success here on hive is a function of your opinion about the topic. But with everything I've seen so far, I would say SUCCESS on hive comes when you have a focused, dedicated, and consistent actions on the Blockchain. And this can only happen when activities are backed by a solid foundational plan with a nice strategy.

At first, I really didn't understand many things such as hive power, curation, e.t.c. ( but that was not a problem though cus' I knew every member here on hive was once a newbie like me too). But as I continued to navigate the platform with an open mind, I began to gain clarity. And it inspired me to rule my own plans on how to be successful on the Blockchain.

And quickly, here are 10 actionable plans I have observed on how to become successful on hive (especially as a newbie);

  1. Be Truthful - this Blockchain is not a place to tell lies (especially about contents you put out on your blog). Always tell the truth about a situation at all times.

  2. Be Genuine - You are who you are. Be yourself and don't pretend to be something else or someone else. Better still, do not disguise as something you are not either on the Blockchain or outside of it.

  3. Be Honest - Do not steal other people's work from outside the blockchain only to come post it here. Avoid plagiarism. Always strive to be original. Stealing other peoples' work might be a bit enticing, but it won't be beneficial to you in the long run.

  4. Engage all the time - I know as a newbie there is a great urge to earn monetary rewards as quickly as possible. But this should not be your only focus. Why did I say this? Because the hive blockchain is not built on that purpose alone. So take your time to explore other functions on the platform.

  5. Be friendly - Be friendly when dealing with people here. Be kind with your expression to people and with your choice of words cus' you're being silently monitored (well I don't know the guardian watching over us all on hive).

  6. Be Cautious - This is pretty simple. Treat people you meet well. Treat them with respect just as you would like to be treated as well.

  7. Have fun - The Blockchain chain is also a social gathering via the media route. So you can not do without meeting people of like minds. When this happens, explore the best of it. Play games with them as well as doing other activities that involves gathering together.

  8. Save your energy - I feel its in your best interest to not exhaust your energy on a singular focus. Try to save your energy to navigate the platform on other aspects as well. You would be thankful to yourself that you did so in the long run.

  9. Safeguard your keys - If you are a newbie like me and you're still new to the lingo here. Your keys are the long form mix of letters and numbers given to you when you first registered. They include your password, owner, active, memo, and posting keys. And it's important to protect them judiciously.
    Why?
You see, this Blockchain technology for hive is very unique, special, and different from others. Once those keys are lost they are gone forever because there is no option to retrieve password and the rest anywhere on the Blockchain. Hence, the importance of keeping them safely because you may lose all the funds in your profile if you lose them.

  10. Follow leaders with experience and learn from them - This is the simple gist here. You don't have to look for whales of the platform to follow or people with an enormously large account value. Just follow people with enough experience on the blockchain that are experienced enough to lead, guide, and correct you simply because they know more than you do (and you have to know them in person to do that).

Here is an honest review from a less than a month old hiver.

Now I arranged these steps in no particular order, I don't know if the parameters are more important than each other. Whether one is powerful than the other or they all just carry the same relevance...

Whichever way it is,

I would personally love to learn more about them. Also to know more other things I didn't talk about and can be of help just because I don't know about them yet.

Thanks for reading up to the end!
