Hola mi gente bonita de #hive especialmente a esos que nos visitan en nuestra pequeña casita, hoy mi post básicamente va a explicar el porqué me encontraba un poco ausente en estos últimos días, y lo hago porque siento que como administradora de esta hermosa comunidad debo aclarar mi ausencia, tampoco se trata de una publicación para recoger dinero, ni nada por el estilo.
Para los que no lo saben hace más de 10 años mi esposo @gilliatt fue sometido a una operación bastante delicada en dónde parte de su columna vertebral tuvo que ser sustituida por una prótesis, debido a una bacteria que contrajo en un viaje que hicimos en unas vacaciones, fueron muchos años de angustia porque el proceso no fue para nada fácil, incluso una segunda operación en su columna lo dejo en silla de ruedas por casi dos años, ya que un pedacito del disco dañado que fue extraído, se le alojó en la médula, (esto se conoce como secuestro) impidiendo que volviera a caminar por espacio de casi dos años.
Él con muchísima fuerza de voluntad logró levantarse de la silla de ruedas a pesar de que el neurocirujano le había dicho que era poco probable que volviera a caminar, fueron unos años totalmente terribles y que yo pensaba había dejado atrás, pero al parecer no fue así, pues producto de una caída en la casa, él comenzó con dolores terribles, tuvo que ser medicado con un tratamiento de analgésicos bien fuertes (tramadol, neurontin y diazepan), y que debo decir es poco lo que le calman.
En estos últimos días acudimos a la consulta del neurocirujano en vista de que el dolor no cesaba, le hicieron unas radiografías y fue allí cuando no dieron la noticia tan terrible, la prótesis se desplazó y es por eso que el dolor no se calma, ahora le acaban de ordenar una resonancia magnética con contraste, y un gammagrama óseo, que no hacen aquí en la ciudad de Cumaná Estado Sucre-Venezuela, por eso nos fuimos a la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz a ver si la hacían allí, la que necesitamos específicamente, lamentablemente no hacen la que él necesita y nos informaron que el único lugar donde se practica ese tipo de exámenes es en la ciudad capital de Venezuela en Caracas.
Esta noticia nos llenó de preocupación por todo lo que esto implica, debido a la lesión, no puede trasladarse en carro, sino vía aérea, además de los gastos de hospedaje y comida en el lugar, y ni hablarles del costo de la resonancia que me acaban de decir que son unos 350 $ y el otro examen es aún más costoso, por toda está situación es que hemos estado ausente en estos últimos siete días, tratando de solventar la situación, hay momentos en los que siento que no lo vamos a lograr, pero sé también que no nos podemos derrumbar, poco a poco saldremos adelante.
Tristemente, la situación médica en Venezuela es bien crítica y como dicen acá: "El que no tiene, se muere", porque a los entes gubernamentales no les importa el pueblo, toda esta situación también me llena de preocupación porque él, es uno de los pilares fundamentales del proyecto #lacasitahive y debido a sus dolores no ha podido asistir a algunas charlas, ni estar al pendiente como se debe de la comunidad, al igual que mi persona, pero esperamos esta semana arrancar con las energías recargadas.
Aprovechamos de almorzar fuera de la casa para ahorrar el tiempo y que nos alcanzará para acudir a la consulta y debo decirlo, fue un momento bien lindo, dentro de todo este caos, poder compartir con él, que aunque sé que está con ese dolor insoportable siempre tiene una sonrisa para tratar de minimizar la situación, espero que podamos salir airosos de esta situación, no la tenemos para nada fácil, pero cuando estás de la mano de Dios nada puede salir mal, poco a poco y a medida que consigamos ir solventando les iremos informando, agradezco a quienes se han tomado un momento de sus ocupadas agendas para preguntarme por qué estaba ausente, se siente lindo saber que se tienen personas que de una forma u otra se preocupan por uno.
La batalla que tenemos por delante es larga y fuerte, pero no estamos dispuestos a darnos por vencido, mucho menos el proyecto que emprendimos con la comunidad de #lacasitahive, de masificación del uso y manejo del ecosistema hive, si bien ha quedado demostrado en los hechos más que en las palabras, que mucha gente está cómoda como esta y no les interesa para nada que el ecosistema crezca en números y se masifique el uso de estas tecnologías, como es el caso de la #web2, a pesar de esta realidad, nosotros seguiremos adelante, gracias a todos.

For those who don't know, more than 10 years ago my husband @gilliatt underwent a very delicate operation where part of his spine had to be replaced by a prosthesis, due to a bacteria he contracted on a trip we took on holiday, It was many years of anguish because the process was not at all easy, even a second operation on his spine left him in a wheelchair for almost two years, as a piece of the damaged disc that was removed, was lodged in the spinal cord, (this is known as sequestration) preventing him from walking again for almost two years.
With a lot of willpower he managed to get out of the wheelchair despite the fact that the neurosurgeon had told him that it was unlikely that he would walk again, it was a terrible few years that I thought he had left behind, but apparently it was not so, as a result of a fall at home, he began to suffer terrible pain, he had to be medicated with a treatment of very strong painkillers (tramadol, neurontin and diazepam), and I must say that they do little to calm him down.
In the last few days we went to the neurosurgeon's office because the pain did not stop, they did some x-rays and it was there when they did not give the terrible news, the prosthesis was displaced and that is why the pain does not subside, now they have just ordered an MRI with contrast, and a bone scan, which they do not do here in the city of Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela, that is why we went to the city of Puerto la Cruz to see if they would do it there, the one we specifically need, unfortunately they do not do the one he needs and they informed us that the only place where they do this type of exams is in the capital city of Venezuela in Caracas.
This news has filled us with worry because of all that this implies, due to the injury, he cannot travel by car, but by air, in addition to the cost of accommodation and food on site, not to mention the cost of the MRI, which I have just been told is about $350 and the other test is even more expensive, because of all this situation is that we have been absent these last seven days, trying to solve the situation, there are moments when I feel that we are not going to make it, but I also know that we can not collapse, little by little we will get ahead.
Sadly, the medical situation in Venezuela is very critical and as they say here: "He who does not have, dies", because the government does not care about the people, this whole situation also fills me with concern because he is one of the main pillars of the project #lacasitahive and due to his pain he has not been able to attend some talks, or be aware as it should of the community, as well as myself, but we hope this week to start with recharged energy.
We took the opportunity to have lunch out of the house to save time and to be able to go to the consultation and I must say, it was a very nice moment, within all this chaos, to be able to share with him, that although I know he is in unbearable pain, he always has a smile to try to minimize the situation, I hope we can get out of this situation, we don't have it easy, but when you are in the hand of God nothing can go wrong, little by little and as we get to be solved we will inform you, I thank those who have taken a moment out of their busy schedules to ask me why I was absent, it feels nice to know that you have people who in one way or another care about you.
The battle ahead of us is long and strong, but we are not willing to give up, much less the project we undertook with the #lacasitahive community, of massification of the use and management of the hive ecosystem, although it has been demonstrated in deeds more than in words, that many people are comfortable like this and are not interested at all that the ecosystem grows in numbers and the use of these technologies is massified, as is the case of the #web2, despite this reality, we will continue forward, thanks to all.

Es lamentable la situación en la que se encuentra gilliatt, como bien dices es un pilar fundamental del proyecto de #lacasitahive pero por sobre todo eso, es una gran persona, en el poco tiempo que hemos convivido varias veces lo he considerado un segundo padre, que ha sabido aconsejarme y criticarme cuando es debido y de la mejor manera posible, espero de verdad que se mejore y podamos seguir conviviendo y haciendo grande este ecosistema.
De verdad... Me apena mucho la situación y espero que puedan salir adelante.
