Hi all, greetings!

I tried a drapery sketching today.
I don't know when last I did this kind of drawing but I'm pretty sure it's over three months now.

Initially, I wanted to use a white cloth but I realized there will be no much forms so I opted for a moderate light cloth.

I hanged the piece of cloth on a wood, stayed a little distance away from it and started sketching it.

Firstly, I observed my light flow. This will help me know how to handle light and shadow.

From the final result, you could see there was light outside while darkness surfaced in between the cloth and wood.
