Emu - Animal Series
Hello Hivers!
From my animal drawing series, I present to you my new pen drawing of a domestic animal called 'Emu'.
Ever seen this creature in real life before. I haven't but saw one while watching NATGeo wild and I elated and interested to know about it.
Checking out on this animal realized it's not a bird of prey. It's a flightless bird native to Australia and has some resemblance with that of an ostrich. It is noted to be the second tallest living bird.
Drawing animals' fur and hairs can be a daunting and a tough task. But I was patient enough to apply every individual detail on it in order to get the desired result.
The piece was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper and I found my reference photo here. Below are my steps:
