Drawing A Portrait [1402]

20240224_154956.jpg

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share with you my new art work. It's a random portrait drawing of a woman with tribal marks on her face. With her headtire, face and marks on her chin, she seems to be from the Yoruba tribe.

The portrait was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. I used scribble technique to create this piece.

Below are my step-by-step processes:

Thank you.

Now this is an amazing portrait. It has in it a true African story of a mother that worked hard to for her children while staying authentic in her style.

As the time of life goes by, marks start appearing on the face of a person. You have made this painting with great effort.

Oh yeah, however, these ones are permanent marks. They have been there right from her childhood when they were carved.

Such a beautiful Yoruba woman!
I’m sure that if you were one of those who usually give people tribal marks in the olden days, you’d give them lovely marks even though we people of nowadays may not like it😅

Hahaha, yeah, I would have given them some nice designs but I actually don't like those marks😊
